Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf Kraftmaschinen derjenigen bekannten Gattung, bei welcher zu der hin- und hergehenden Bewegung des Kolbens durch eine aufserhalb des Cylinders angeordnete Nuthenwalze eine gleichzeitige Drehbewegung hinzugefügt und diese Drehbewegung unter Ausschaltung der Hin- und Herbewegung auf die zu treibende Welle übertragen wird. Gegenüber älteren Maschinen dieser Gattung zeichnet sich die vorliegende dadurch aus, dafs die auf der Kolbenstange gleichachsig festsitzende Nuthenwalze zwecks Uebertragung der Drehbewegung von zwei oder mehr zur Achse parallelen Stangen durchsetzt wird, welche an der zu treibenden, mit der Kolbenstange gleichachsig und unverschiebbar gelagerten Welle angebracht sind, und auf welchen sich .demnach die Nuthenwalze bei ihrer Hin- und Herbewegung mit der Kolbenstange verschiebt. Durch diese neue Anordnung der die Bewegung übertragenden Theile erhält man eine raumsparende Anordnung mit dem Vortheil, dafs die Maschine in die Mittellinie der getriebenen Welle fällt, was besonders für Verwendung zum Schiffsbetriebe wichtig ist. Die auf diese Weise erhaltene Drehbewegung der Nuthenwalze wird durch zwei Stangen F auf die getriebene Welle E übertragen, welche gleichachsig zur Kolbenstange A angeordnet ist. Die Stangen F sitzen an der Welle E parallel zur gemeinsamen Achse der ganzen Maschine fest und gehen durch entsprechende Durchbohrungen der Walze hindurch, welche sich demnach auf diesen Stangen hin- und herverschiebt. Alle bei der Umsetzung und Uebertragung der Bewegung wirksamen Theile laufen zweckmäfsig in einem Oelbad.
