Die erste Neuerung besteht in einer veränderten Construction des Gelenkes der beiden Flossen a <■?', ■ welche in Fig. 1,. 2 und 3 dargestellt ist. Dieses Gelenk wird durch eine klammerartig gebogene Stange // gebildet, die mit ihren beiden aufgebogenen Enden in der Sohle b befestigt ist. Auf diese Stange sind vier'schraubenförmig gewundene Drähte geschoben, von denen zwei //' mit der Flosse a, die anderen beiden mm¹ mit Vz¹ an ihren Enden fest verbunden sind, während ihre entgegengesetzten Enden umgebogen unter der Sohle A liegen.. Diese Drähtjs wirken als Scharnier und als Federn zum Schliefseh der Flossen beim Anziehen der Füfse. Die Dreh-axe dieses Scharniers liegt, wie aus Fig. 3 hervorgeht, etwas unter der unteren Fläche der Sohle b, und vermöge der abgeschrägten Voisprünge ο ρ' der Flossen bilden sich Stützpunkte fur dieselben; wenn sie bis an die zulässige Grenze zusammengeklappt sind, so dafs beim, nächsten Stofs des Fufses die Flossen sich Wieder brett auseinander legen. !The first innovation consists in a modified construction of the joint of the two fins a <■? Die zweite Neuerung besteht in der Anordnung einer keilförmigen Sohle, wie in Fig. 4 dargestellt.
