Method for producing threaded parts from plastic It is known
Threaded parts, such as threaded bolts, screws and nuts, made of plastic rods or
-produce pipes by machining. The mechanical strength
such parts, especially if they are metric or trapezoidal threads,
due to the notch effect caused by the machining. For this reason
only the execution of such parts as round threads is considered to be suitable for the material. - The
Manufacture of threaded parts from plastic is also because of the high
Relatively expensive work. Try to get nuts and bolts out
To produce thermoplastic plastic by injection molding have to
did not lead to satisfactory results. - Compared to the one from the German explanatory document
1 041 242 known method for producing threads on pipes made of thermoplastic
Plastic, the inventive approach is advanced for the following reasons:
In the known method, a pipe is provided with an external thread in such a way that
that one to be provided with the thread portion of the pipe in the thermoplastic
Constricts state and in a second operation in a nut-like manner
trained annular tool against the threads of this tool mechanically
expands. When producing an internal thread, it is also used in the thermoplastic
State transferred section of the pipe first expanded and then over a
Tool in the manner of a threaded mandrel compressed against the threads of this mandrel.
-The generally required high mechanical strength values of the material
make the use of a highly viscous polymer or mixed polymer necessary.
During the mechanical fitting of such a heated to the deformation temperature
Material, the accuracy of fit of the thread turns that are formed is less perfect
than with the "shrinking in or shrinking on" of the same plastic according to the invention.
In addition, the monoaxial (i.e. longitudinal) or
all-round stretching of the starting material when carrying out the invention
Process a considerable increase in the strength values, primarily one
Increase in tensile and impact strength, connected. Even after shrinkage has taken place
the orientation of the macromolecules achieved by the stretching remains
Compensation for the material received to a considerable extent.
It has now been found that the above
Threaded parts from in
of thermoformable polymerisation plastics in a simple manner and with excellent
Can be made to fit such that one monoaxially (i.e. in the longitudinal direction)
or raw material stretched on all sides at a temperature above the freezing temperature
temperature in a threaded nut or shrink onto a screw thread
leaves. - In detail one proceeds as follows: For the production of threaded bolts,
Screws and the like are heated up a round rod made of a thermoplastic material,
stretches it monoaxially in the longitudinal direction and cools it down in the stretched state.
A threaded nut that is as tight as possible is placed over the prepared rod
and heats the structure consisting of the mold and the plastic blank, namely
expediently above the glass transition temperature of the polymer. Under the effect
the restoring forces, the plastic fills the shape presented to it, d. H. on
the round rod creates the external thread. -In a corresponding way you can also
provided a pipe with an external thread.
Gewindebolzen entsprechende Gestaltung an. For the production of nuts made of thermoplastic plastic stretches
plate-like material in the heated state either by applying pressure
or by pulling it evenly from all sides and cooling it
Material in the stretched state. The mother blank is made from a plate pretreated in this way
Sawn out as a perforated, round or square or hexagonal disc. In the round
a threaded bolt that is as tight as possible is inserted into the central bore. Thereafter
the one consisting of the nut blank and the shaping threaded bolt is heated
Formation about the freezing temperature of the plastic, which is under the effect
the restoring forces contract. The originally smooth inner bore of the blank
takes,
because if the material is stretched sufficiently, the plastic before it is deformed
fills the threads of the screw thread with perfect fit, which the
Threaded bolt appropriate design.
While thermoplastics are being machined
to suffer a loss of mechanical strength to threaded parts is with the
Orientation of the macromolecules taking place during the stretching process is known per se
Increase in strength properties associated, namely an increase in tensile strength
in the stretching direction and an improvement in the impact resistance when subjected to vertical loads
to the stretching direction.
The degree of stretching depends largely on the intended design
of the thread, in the sense that the stretching must take place all the more,
the more material is supposed to »shrink« into the thread depth of the shaping part.
In general, the stretching of the starting material becomes more than 100%, with particular
Advantage often make up 300 to 600 e / o7, these percentages being in the case of rod-shaped
Material to the original length and with plate-shaped starting material
refer to the original area size.
For the production of threaded parts according to the invention are suitable
Thermoplastics such as polyethylene, polycarbonate, impact-resistant polystyrene, polyvinyl chloride,
Polyacrylates and polyamides. With particular advantage, it is possible to predominantly
Use copolymers composed partly of acrylonitrile, as these are both
due to excellent mechanical properties as well as strong restoring forces
distinguish. Such copolymers exist z. B. at 60 to 85 parts by weight
made of acrylonitrile and the remainder of acrylic or methacrylic acid esters, styrene,
Butadiene or vinylidene chloride. When processing the plastics just mentioned
one can imagine the closest process for the production of the stretched starting material,
namely extruded round rods or tubes when exiting the spray nozzle in the
to stretch the required dimensions and to cool down in this state, do not operate.
High acrylonitrile
Copolymers containing them have to be polymerized in situ and as block polymers
further processed in the sense described. So much for the mechanical
Strength, particularly high demands are placed on the threaded parts
it is appropriate to use block polymers of the type mentioned.
