Process for the production of box girders, in particular for bodies,
Vehicle frame or the like. To high rigidity and break resistance with as little as possible
To unite weight has already been proposed, sheet metal structures, such as those for example
used for bodywork or vehicle frames by stiffening members
to keep under tension; this happens e.g. B. in that first the stiffening members
placed under tension and then connected to the metal sheets so that these
after releasing the stiffening members are in turn placed under tension.
For example, according to a known method, in the case of a frame consisting of longitudinal spars and transverse ribs and a sheet metal cladding welded or riveted to the transverse ribs, the longitudinal ribs are initially only welded to one of the end transverse ribs and then the sheet metal cladding is placed under tension by pulling on the end transverse ribs, whereupon the longitudinal ribs also be welded to the other end transverse bulkhead. However, this method only allows the sheet metal cladding to be braced in one direction. It is true that the generation of transverse stresses is already proposed in this known method, to which the transverse ribs may be subjected; but the way in which such transverse stresses are to be generated is not specified. In any case, the longitudinal and transverse stresses must be generated separately from one another, which requires an extremely complicated process and does not guarantee the generation of uniform stresses.
nämlich in radialer Richtung erzeugt.Furthermore, it is known to use a component, e.g. B. an elongated,
When loaded, the beam sags by means of a beam that remains permanently on the component
Clamping element, z. B. to brace a tension wire, especially a small one
to achieve elastic hysteresis loop with swelling and changing loads.
It has also already been suggested that the component and the tensioning element should be used as a whole
Length at individual points or continuously in a mutually braced state
to connect with each other. The known
Method can also be used in the case of a component subject to torsion stress by
the clamping element is arranged within a hollow component and the latter
held under tension by the tensioning element in a state subject to torsional stress
will. In all of these cases, however, there is also only one tension in one
Direction or direction of rotation achievable. Also with round or similarly simple ones
Bodies, such as wheels or the like, known to be shrunk on wheel rims, tires or the like.
But even in this case there is generally a tension only in one sense of direction,
namely generated in the radial direction.
In contrast, the invention aims at a method which is as possible
simple way a uniform tensioning of the outer shell of a frame-like
Body, as it od for bodies. The like. In question, made possible by the shell
both in the longitudinal and in the transverse direction on one to be connected to it
Frame skeleton composed of longitudinal and cross members is braced. According to the invention
This process consists in the fact that the shell is produced as a closed sheet metal pocket,
brought to a higher temperature than the frame Velcro, pushed tightly onto the latter,
welded to the frame skeleton before temperature equalization and fitted all around
is shrunk onto the frame skeleton.
The pocket-like design of the cover ensures that
that after cooling the same on the frame skeleton under tension in all
In transverse directions. At the same time prevents welding of the shell
with the frame skeleton that the shell contracts in the longitudinal direction when it cools down
and thereby relieves the preload in this direction. Through the heat treatment
in connection with the welding, which is still carried out in the warm state, can thus
a very even state of tension of the cooled sheet metal shell in longitudinal and
Transverse direction can be achieved without this cumbersome mechanical work
Clamping devices are required.
Is particularly advantageous
it, if in connection with the method according to the invention, is conical towards one end
tapered box girder is used, as in this case the slip over the
Sheath can be done over the frame skeleton without difficulty. It is also enough
in this case possibly when the shell with the skeleton is only at one end
is welded in the area of the larger frame width, since the conical shape of the
Skeleton resists shortening the shell in the longitudinal direction.
Manufacture is carried out to achieve the required accuracy
the sheet metal shell advantageously on a template with a smaller cross-sectional dimension
than the frame skeleton receiving the sheet metal shell in the finished state. Also can
the frame itself serves as a template for the sheet metal shell, especially if
if the construction tapers too conically towards one end, as in this case
the sheet metal shell on a section of the correspondingly conical frame skeleton
Cross-section than can be applied in the finished state. The final assembly
can be done in that either the sheet metal shell is heated and thereby
expands or the frame skeleton is brought to lower temperatures and itself
thereby pulls together. The sheet metal shell can then with the required clearance
be pushed onto the frame skeleton or onto a portion of the same, the
would not allow postponement at normal temperature.
herzustellenden Trägers schematisch dargestellt, und zwar zeigt F i g. 1
In the drawing, an embodiment of a carrier to be produced according to the invention is shown schematically, namely FIG. 1 the frame skeleton and FIG. 2 the sheet metal shell to be stiffened by the frame skeleton.
First, the frame skeleton and sheet metal shell are manufactured separately. The frame structure consists here, for. B. from longitudinal members bl, b2 and Ouerträger el, c., C. B. from the cross member e, to the cross member c .. "approach each other and thereby form a Ralimer skeleton that is too conical towards one end.
bestimmt. The sheet metal shell d , which is welded together from individual sheet metal plates dj, d2y, d3, d4 , is designed in a correspondingly conical shape. For assembly with the frame skeleton, for example, the sheet metal shell d is heated to a higher temperature and the frame skeleton a is pushed in thereon. Skeletal frame and sheath are then welded directly to one another expedient, namely c particular on the cross members, and c., And also expediently also of recesses or slots e which d for this purpose in the sheet metal shell, for. B. in the side panels d. and d4 are incorporated. When the sheet metal shell cools down, it rests tightly against the frame skeleton, whereby it is held by it after cooling under a pretension which is determined from the differences in the dimensions of the frame and shell in the untensioned state.
