Process for the production of carbon and copy paper with a
Plastic-based paint layer Plastic-based carbon and copy paper
are known to be characterized in that in a on a suitable carrier
applied plastic coating is the solution or dispersion of a dye
or a color pigment is incorporated. To make them, the procedure was
that you first have a solution of the plastic in question in a suitable,
easily evaporable solvent and a solution or dispersion of a dye
or colored pigment in a non-volatile or non-volatile liquid.
The plastic solution was mixed with the solution in a suitable proportion
or dispersion of the dye or color pigment and carried the mixture in a known manner
Way in a thin layer on a support, e.g. B. paper, plastic or metal foil
etc., on. The volatile solvent was allowed to evaporate and a spongy one was obtained
porous plastic compound in which the solution or dispersion of the dye or color pigment
was stored in the non-volatile liquid.
This method has two significant drawbacks in practice: One
it requires large amounts of solvent to evaporate during the coating, so
that if the process is to be economical, the construction will be more extensive and
expensive recovery equipment is needed, and second is the process
limited to plastics that are soluble in organic solvents.
man z.
The present invention makes use of something fundamentally different
Process for the production of the carbon and carbonless papers mentioned. The procedure
according to the invention avoids the above-mentioned disadvantages by being without vaporizing
Solvents, or with such small amounts of solvents, cannot be recovered
worthwhile and the loss of which is economically viable, works and the plastic
from its monomeric liquid or solid compound or from its liquid
or solid monomeric components by a polymerization, polyaddition or
Polycondensation process together with the coloring substances on the carrier
generated. This means that it can also do what the previously known methods cannot
It was possible to use plastics that were not soluble in organic solvents for the coating
be used. It can be used to initiate and coordinate the speed
the polymerization, polyaddition or polycondensation process to the requirements
suitable starters, catalysts and accelerators are used in manufacture.
Example 1 In order to obtain a plastic which is soluble in organic solvents
To produce a carbon paper color layer, a support made of 75 parts of styrene,
2 parts of benzoyl peroxide, 50 parts of oleic alcohol and 50 parts of carbon black
Mixture applied in a known manner and then the coated carrier material
passed over rollers heated to about p0 ° C. Example 2 To create a corresponding layer of paint
with a plastic that is insoluble in organic solvents
one z. B. proceed in such a way that 100 parts of one by heating 116
Parts of Maleinsäum with 62 parts of ethylene glycol-containing unsaturated ester
with 40 parts of styrene, 1 part of cyclohexanone peroxide, 50 parts of neat oil, 10 parts
Mineral oil, 10 parts of Milori blue and 20 parts of carbon black mixed and then,
proceed as indicated in example 1.
