Vorliegende Erfindung bezieht sich auf ein Verfahren zur Herstellung von gemusterten Geweben, darin bestehend, dafs man die Bindefäden zur Bildung des Musters verwendet, indem man die Musterfäden zwischen je zwei benachbarten Bindefäden des Musters binden läfst und die Bindefäden nur an den Umkehrstellen der Musterfäden in die Waare einbindet, sonst aber flotten läfst.The present invention relates to a method for making patterned fabrics, consisting in using the binding threads to form the pattern by you let the pattern threads bind between two adjacent binding threads of the pattern and the binding threads only at the reversal points that ties pattern threads into the goods, but otherwise runs smoothly.

Die Bindefäden B können unabhängig hiervon mittelst Litzen oder Harnisch bethätigt werden. Die Musterfäden W können durch Nadeln bethätigt werden, die in einem Rahmen befestigt sind, welcher vor dem Rietkamm auf- und abwärts geht. Für die Schüsse 1, 3, 5, 7 und 9 werden die Musterfäden von den Nadeln auf der rechten Seite der Bindefäden B und für die Schüsse 2, 4, 6, 8 und 10 von den Nadeln auf der linken Seite der angrenzenden Bindefäden gehoben. Sind dagegen die Bindefäden bei dem vorhergehenden Schufs niedergehalten worden, so werden die Musterfäden W von der linken Seite der Bindefäden B zur rechten Seite der angrenzenden Bindefäden B gestreckt, wie zwischen den Schüssen 1 und 2 oder 7, 8, 9 und 10 ersichtlich. Soll kein Muster hergestellt werden, so werden die Bindefäden B gehoben, so dafs die Schufsfäden sowohl unter den Bindefäden B als auch unter den Musterfäden W hergehen, woraus sich ergiebt, dafs die Musterfäden W nicht von den Schufs- und Bindefäden ergriffen, sondern unter dem Zuge, unter welchem sie gewebt werden, zu den Grundfäden G oder R zurückgezogen werden. Sind bei dem vorhergehenden Schufs die Bindefäden B niedergehalten worden, so werden die Musterfäden W von den Bindefäden B zu den Grundfäden G und R hin gestreckt, wie bereits erwähnt; sind dagegen beim vorhergehenden Schufs die Bindefäden gehoben worden, so werden die Musterfäden W und die Grundfäden G oder R herumgedreht, wie zwischen den Schüssen 3,4,5 und 6 ersichtlich.
