Description
It is known to feed digesters with a high temperature cooking liquid in order to to achieve rapid impregnation of the schnitzel and thus a reduction in the cooking time. the The upper limit for the temperature of the cooking liquid depends on the temperature at which the Cooking liquid begins to dissolve the lignin in the wood. With sulfite boiling, this is done at 105 to 110 ° C and for sulphate cooking at 120 to 140 ° C.
In the charging process that has been mostly used to date, ie in which the cooker is under approximately atmospheric pressure, temperatures are seldom used that exceed 80 ° C for the cooking acid in sulphite boiling and 90 ° C for the cooking liquor in sulphate boiling. This is to avoid evaporation during loading, which leads to SO 2 emissions with the risk of gypsum formation when boiling sulfite, and which makes it impossible to simultaneously fill with schnitzel and lye when boiling sulfate.
Another method of filling the cooker is, for example, by U.S. Patent 1,974,420 known, after which the cooker is filled with cold cooking liquid, which is then placed in the cooker under Pressure applied, during a longer cycle over »5 an acid tank is gradually heated by the supply of steam, in particular that contained in the wood Air is removed. It is also known from US Pat. No. 1 122 404 to use the schnitzel in the First impregnate the stove with water, which is then gradually heated to temperatures of up to 149 ° C, to extract volatile products from the wood. Thereupon the water is drained and then held its alkaline cooking liquid supplied, the temperature of which is not specified.

No. 1 977 379 also discloses a method in which the digester loaded with chips is first filled with cold digestion solution from a storage tank, whereupon this liquid is drawn off from the upper digester part by means of a pump, in a heat exchanger to higher levels Temperature and then reintroduced at the bottom of the cooker. After that, cold liquid is displaced by hot liquid, both of which consist of a suitable digestion solution. Nothing special is given about the pressure in the digester during displacement, and it is assumed that this pressure does not exceed the moderate pressure of the liquid column. The hot liquid can therefore not be fed in at temperatures significantly higher than 100 ° C without causing the unfavorable evaporation in the cooker mentioned above.

Lich pressure cooker can be done without difficulty at a higher cooking liquid temperature, since the tendency to give off steam and gas decreases at higher pressure. Such a method is known from German patent specification 549 228, wherein the cooker is first pressurized by blowing in gas, especially SO 2 , and then the cooking liquid is supplied. A compressor system must be available for this.
The main purpose of the invention is to make charging with preliminary pressure increase more economical Way to perform.
An Stelle des Umtausches der Kochflüssigkeit nach der ersten Stufe kann dabeiThe invention relates only to the first filling of the cooker with cooking liquid. These Stage differs from the following cooking stages, for which various processes are already known are. Usually, after the initial filling, the cooking liquid is gradually circulated, z. B. from 30 to 50 ° C to 110 to 152 ° C, heated. A The method for this is given in US Pat. No. 1,83-1,206, according to which the heating is carried out by Circulation takes place via a heat exchanger. This cooking can also be carried out in several stages become, as it z. B. is given in German Patent 663 911, with one in a first Stage pre-cooked with a cooking liquid at a final temperature of 115 ° C. Instead of exchanging the cooking liquid after the first stage can thereby

According to an amendment mentioned in German Patent 730 317, the Treatment liquid in the first stage of acid sulphite solution, which after precooking, z. B. to 115 ° C, is displaced by the waste liquor of the second cooking stage, which in turn is then with Fresh acid is displaced, whereupon new fresh acid is supplied for the second stage.
The invention is characterized in that in preparation for the actual cooking of the cooker first by pumping in a cooking liquid full or not full strength or water of lower strength Temperature is filled and vented in the process, possibly resulting in overpressure in the cooker, and that this low temperature pumped liquid through an outlet from the digester through the Cooking liquid heated to a high temperature is displaced, which enters the cooker at this temperature pumped in and their pressure in the cooker kept so high during the displacement process prevents the boiling of the cooking liquid and the expansion of gases from it in the cooker will.
The required pressure in the cooker is therefore hydraulically instead of using gas according to the German one Patent 549228 achieved, so that devices for generating gas pressure are dispensable. In the known two-stage process, the displacement is carried out for a completely different purpose, in order to obtain a certain back pressure instead of just a fluid exchange. The known method is also carried out in another way, namely by using this counter pressure Throttling occurs in the outlet for the displaced liquid.
The advantage of the method according to the invention over the method according to the German patents 663 911 and 730 317 is primarily that the task is solved particularly easily.
The protection of the patent should only apply to the total combination of those contained in the main claim, extend per se known individual features.
Displacement by means of hot cooking liquid should take place as quickly (e.g. within 10 to 15 minutes), that no major shift in the time for heating the chips at the top or the lower end of the digester enters.
Ausgeschlossen sind also z. The invention is explained in more detail in the drawing, in which FIGS. 1 and 2 each show an exemplary embodiment of the Illustrate the invention. In the drawings are only those necessary for carrying out the invention Devices shown. So are excluded z. B. Devices for performing the Cooking after loading with cooking liquid; these devices can be of any type.
According to Fig. 1, the invention is carried out in the following manner: From a pressure vessel 1, the contains ready-made cooking liquid, which the container, possibly preheated to a certain degree, can be supplied through a line 18, according to the first stage of the invention cooking liquid by means of a pump 2, via a heat exchanger 3, without being heated therein, a line 4 and a valve 5 are pumped into the lower part of the cooker 6. As the cooking liquid enters the cooker, it drives air, gas and steam in the cooker through a valve 7 at the upper end of the cooker to an exhaust pipe 19. The pumping in continues, set until the cooker is filled with cooking liquid; then the valves 5 and 7 are closed so that the cooker is filled with cooking liquid at a relatively low temperature and, if necessary is under pressure which has been generated by the pump when the valve 7 is closed earlier than the valve 5 has been.

With further pumping of cooking liquid into the cooker via a line 16 with a valve 17 after the upper end of the digester, the already Pumped cooking liquid from the bottom of the cooker through a line 9 with an overflow valve 8 and a line 21 is displaced and returned to the container 1, the newly pumped in is Cooking liquid is heated in the heat exchanger 3, to which now heating steam from a main line 20 is fed through a line 11 with valve 10. The amount of heating steam is automatically generated by a Regulator 12 controlled by means of thermal pulses from line 4, so that the newly pumped cooking liquid is always heated to the desired highest temperature. The overflow valve 8 is to open in the The pressure in the cooker is set, which is necessary so that steam and gas do not come out of the hot cooking liquid develop under this pressure of repression is introduced without gas or steam generation. When the process is over, what can be read on the thermometer 13, the valve 17 is closed, whereupon cooking in the usual Way can be done. 14 with a drain screen and 15 with a condensate drain is designated.
According to FIG. 2, a different, cold liquid than the finished liquid is used for the first stage, the gas expulsion Cooking liquid used, e.g. B. cooking liquid with less strength than finished cooking liquid or Water; this liquid is stored in a special container, which by means of a valve 18a can be filled. The container 1 contains as shown in FIG. 1 finished cooking liquid, in this case to the highest permissible temperature heated cooking liquid. The heating is carried out continuously, by pumping this liquid by means of a pump 22 in the circuit through a heat exchanger 3 α is supplied to the heating steam from the main line 20 via the line 11 with the valve 10.
In the first stage, the cooker is filled with cold liquid from the memory 1 α by means of a pump 2 α and via a line 4 a and the valve 5 with the same effect and the same termination of the stage as in FIG. In the second stage, the liquid is displaced from the digester as shown in FIG. 1, but again to the container 1 α, to which the line 21 leads, in this case by means of the hot cooking liquid, which is passed into the digester from the container 1 without doing so to be heated, is pumped in, since this liquid is supplied from the container 1 in an already heated state.
In den Figuren ist nur ein Kocher gezeigt, es können jedoch natürlich auch mehrere Kocher in gleicher Weise zwi-The advantage of this device is preferably that the finished cooking liquid is extremely low gas loss and extremely low acid interference and dilution, since it is not applied for the first stage, is exposed to heating happens continuously and therefore does not cause any major load peaks in the steam network. sehen den Leitungen 4, 19, 20 und 21 eingeschaltet werden, und diese können bei geeigneter Phasenverschiebung zwischen den Kochprozessen diese Kocher mit ein und demselben Behälter- und Heizsystem bedienen. Die Kosten des Systems werden dadurch für •eine große Kocherei verhältnismäßig gering, und ein Wärmeaustauscher 3 kann auf diese Weise fast kontinuierlich arbeiten.see the lines 4, 19, 20 and 21 are switched on, and these can with a suitable phase shift Operate these cookers with one and the same container and heating system between the cooking processes. The cost of the system will be relatively low for a large cooker, and a Heat exchanger 3 can work almost continuously in this way.
Modifications and combinations can of course be made within the scope of the invention on the basis of the exemplary embodiments. For example, the heat exchanger 3 α according to FIG. 2 can be replaced by the heat exchanger 3 according to FIG. 1 or vice versa. The indirect heating of the cooking liquid by means of the heat exchanger 3 a can also be replaced by direct heating by means of the steam introduced into the container 1. To improve the impregnation, the system can in all cases be combined in the first stage with the known rapid impregnation process, which consists in that after the digester has been filled to the upper end with liquid, these repeated sudden changes in pressure are exposed, whereby air and gas in particular effectively removed from the cells and other cavities of the wood so that the liquid can penetrate them. If one can disregard the advantage that in the second stage is displaced in the direction from bottom to top, the pipe system can be simplified in that the line 9 with the overflow valve 8 goes off the upper end of the digester, the valve 5 also can be used to introduce warm liquid in this stage and the line 16 with the valve 17 can be omitted.
If z. B. a liquid other than full strength cooking liquid is used as the first pumped liquid according to FIG. 2, it may be expedient to use a liquid containing digestion chemicals which are suitable for the impregnation of the schnitzel carried out before cooking. The substances lost from the liquid during impregnation are then to be replaced by adding them to the container 1 α or elsewhere in the circuit so that the same liquid can be used several times.
