Durch das entwickelte Acetylen wird zunächst eine Maschine 4 getrieben, deren Kolbenstange nach oben hin verlängert und mit dem Kolben der Luftpumpe 5 verbunden ist, welche die atmosphärische Luft zum Betriebe der Antriebsmaschine liefert. Da nun nach der Explosion die Spannung des Gasgemisches sehr gering ist, so werden Acetylen und Luft durch die Rohre 6 und 10 in den Behälter 7 strömen.
