Wie die Fig. 1 und 2 zeigen, ist am Einsteckende 1 der Schutzhülle 2 ein Beutelverschluß 3 vorgesehen, in welchem ein Bindfaden oder ein ähnliches Zugmittel 4 angeordnet wird, das beim Zuziehen die Hülle fest mit dem eigentlichen Sensenblatt 5 verbindet. Es ist hierbei möglich, die Schutzhülle so auszubilden, daß das Zuziehen im Bereich 6 vor dem Hammenteil vorgenommen wird, was jedoch aus der Fig. 1 nicht zu ersehen ist. An einem Bindfaden, einer Kordel oder einem anderen Befestigungsmittel 7, das beispielsweise im Innern des unteren Endbereiches 2 a beispielsweise im Punkte 8 befestigt ist, wird ein Spitzenschutz 9 für die Spitze 10 des Sensenblattes 5 befestigt. Dieser Spitzenschutz 9 besteht, wie aus den Fig. 2 und 3 zu ersehen ist, beispielsweise aus einem U-förmig gefalteten harten Kunststoffstück, dessen beide Schenkel 11 und 12 durch eine Öse 13 miteinander verbunden werden. Die öse 13 wird dabei so vorgesehen, daß der zwischen der Öse 13 und dem Steg 14 des Spitzenschutzes 9 vorgesehene Zwischenraum 15 so groß bemessen ist, daß die Spitze 10 des Sensenblattes 5 nicht über den vorderen Endbereich 16 des Spitzenschutzes 9 im eingesteckten Zustand herausragt.
