Description
Drying of crystal dielectric according to patent no. 909 601 by means of electrical DC voltages In the patent specification 909 601 are electrical capacitors described in which crystal additives in the dielectric with a changeably high water of crystallization content are used in such a way that the possible transformations of the crystals result in free crystal water is made available to increase the capacity of the arrangement.
The patent also indicates that precautionary measures must be taken so that the released crystal water does not become harmful Moisture penetration of the entire depth of the dielectric can result. As a defense against the risk of breakdown if too large amounts of moisture occur, which at the same time causes an undesirable higher conductivity, besides those in the German Patent specification 909 601 expressly emphasized alternating current methods with special Use also methods are used in which the purpose of drying the crystal dielectric the transport of liquid particles under the influence of electrical direct voltages is regulated. These procedures are. Subject of the present invention.
The use of DC voltages is a good way of the migration of water particles from the dielectric layers, depending on the electric field lines in a desired direction. Apart from that of this extremely useful directional effect of direct voltage the movement of the water particles can also be compared with the given the conditions when using alternating current, with a significantly lower one unwanted heating of the dielectric when it is activated can be expected, because then only the very low direct current due to the relatively low conductivity, apart from the exothermicity during recrystallization, to accompanying spontaneous ones Will lead to heat generation. It should also be borne in mind that the aforementioned Heat tone for the individual usable crystal substances with regard to the sign the heat conversion is inconsistent, d. i.e., even lead to a cooling effect can.
With the procedure. according to the invention it can therefore be achieved that the dielectric is at its conductive boundary, which with the positive Pole of a DC voltage source is connected, one depletion, at the other negative Occupancy shows an accumulation of water particles because the water particles as a result their positive charge migrate to the cathode in an electrical DC voltage field. As it will be important in many cases to completely eliminate harmful moisture build-up to remove from the dielectric, so can by suitable training of the Easily achieve negative occupancy, that this is conveniently located. Imagine accumulating water can drain or be removed by evaporation.
In the case of a multilayer dielectric, the individual partial layers of which according to patent 909601 are different in structure, it is advantageous for a good success of the drying by direct voltages if the electric direct field is directed perpendicular to the stratification. In this case, the movement of the water particles takes place along the individual layers, since the field lines run along the layer planes.
With a sequence of sub-layers with different coarse grains or Fibrillation can therefore be achieved that a noticeable liquid transport over the entire layer depth of the capacitor only with the effect of a direct voltage can come about.
Since ingested liquid particles through the effectiveness of an electric Field can always be removed almost completely again, can use of DC voltages for dehumidification in condensers except for the time of Manufacturing can also be very useful for their further maintenance during the storage time as well as after successful practical assembly installation, for example within a telecommunication unit; d. i.e., it can be put in storage rooms or in Assembly rooms, if they are exposed to strong temperature fluctuations, electrical Apply DC voltages according to the invention with great advantage to a certain Maintain the dry state with the capacitors in operation. It is particularly advantageous that this is done for the elimination of perspiration or Condensation water do not have to be brought into use at elevated temperatures.
By a suitable choice of the polarity of the electric field can zugeich can be achieved that the transported liquid particles without temperature influence be directed straight to a point in the storage room or container where they are harmless, be it that they can drip off to an outside space or be brought to evaporation in more accessible places, for example by fans or the like.
