Verfahren zur Herstellung von geruchfreien geformten Gebilden aus Polyvinylchlorid oder Polyvinylchloridmischpolymerisaten Polyvinylchlorid und Polyvinylchloridmischpolymeri sate besitzen den Nachteil, daß sie sich bei der Verarbei tung zu geformten Gebilden, wie Filmen, Folien, Drähten und sonstigen Formkörpern aller Art, auf Mischwalzen, Schneckenpressen und ähnlichen Vorrichtungen bei Temperaturen oberhalb etwa 1600C verfärben, insbesondere dann, wenn ihnen halogenhaltige Weichmacher zugesetzt sind. Werden den Polyvinylchloridkunststoffen außerdem noch schwefel- oder/und selenhaltige Pigmente, wie Zinksulfide, Cadmiumsulfide und Cadmiumselenid e, zugesetzt, so treten außer den erwähnten Verfärbungen häufig auch noch Geruchsbelästigungen auf, die auf die Bildung flüchtiger anorganischer Schwefel- oder/und Selen verbindungen, auch Mercaptane, zurückzuführen sind.
