Abstract

The applicator device has a support and distributor plate (6) which can be guided over the mortar bed (3) and which has on its underneath (24) facing the mortar bed several grooves (25) and webs (26). A predefined quantity of bonding sludge (2) is introduced through a supply unit (4,14) coupled to the plate into the grooves (25) which are open along the edge of the plate so that as the plate is moved relative to the mortar bed the bonding sludge is applied to the bed in a defined thickness. A stirrer mechanism is provided in the sludge reservoir (5) which can be detachably connected to the plate. Independent claim describes method for applying sludge to mortar bed using the device above.
