Abstract

Ein Verfahren und eine Vorrichtung zum rechnergestützten Entwerfen einer aus mehreren zumindest teilweise miteinander verbundenen Bauteilen bestehenden Konstruktion. Dabei existiert für jedes Bauteil eine Beschreibung, welche das Bauteil mit mindestens einem Hauptkörper (1; 3), mit einem Übergangskörper (2; 4) pro Verbindung des Bauteils mit einem anderen Bauteil und mit einem Verbindungsabschnitt (5) pro Übergangskörper (2; 4) beschreibt. Die Beschreibung des Hauptkörpers (1; 3) enthält dabei seine Positionsangabe innerhalb der Konstruktion, wobei die Positionsangabe neben der Position die räumliche Ausrichtung umfasst. Die Beschreibung des Verbindungsabschnitts (5) enthält geometrische Angaben und Positionsangaben einschließlich räumlicher Ausrichtung. Dabei kann eine Beschreibung des Übergangskörpers (2; 4) aufgrund der Kenntnis des mindestens einen Hauptkörpers (1; 3) und des zugehörigen Verbindungsabschnittes (5) automatisch erstellt werden.
