Abstract
A process for connecting at least two components (1), especially vehicle body components, comprises using a thermally hardenable adhesive (4) on the free edges of the component overlap regions. A primary adhesive (3) is applied to one surface and the components are then overlapped. The overlap region (2) is heated to an initial temperature and the cooled to a second temperature. The thermally hardening adhesive is then applied to the free edges of the overlap region and the latter is heated to a third temperature which is higher than the first. The second adhesive is a single component adhesive.
