Abstract
A method for determining maximum actual node speeds, involves first speed information which is linked with a physical speed of the respective node, and second speed information which is linked with a maximum link speed of the respective node and with electronic ascertainment of the second speed information for the at least one and additional node. A communications step for exchanging data is carried out, in which the communications step comprises at least one communication request from the first node to at least one further node and depending on the answer of the at least one additional further node, to the request, confirmation speed information which is linked with a maximum confirmation speed for the communication request from one node to at least one further node, is ascertained and the node speed information for the additional nodes is determined in dependence on its first speed information, its second speed information and the confirmation speed information. An independent claim is also included for a device for determining maximum actual node speed.
