Abstract

A web server (100) has a unit (110) for web-based representation of a three-dimensional (3-D) image of an installation (200) from process automation, in which the web server is joined to the network e.g. Internet (300), so that a stored 3-D image in the component (110) can be polled by a web client via the network. A configurable interface (101-106) is joined with data sources (210-260) of the installation (200) so that process data can be transmitted from the data source (210-260) to the component (110). The component (110) then joins the transmitted process data at a projected point so that in operation, the installation is recognizable for the user of the actual state of the installation at this point. An independent claim is also included for a web-based representation of a 3-D image of an installation.
