Abstract
The semiconductor element (1) has at least one light-emitting semiconductor chip (5) encapsulated within a plastics block (7) which is at least partially transparent and which is provided with a transparent reflector body (3), having at least one side face (2) for total internal reflection of the light components emitted at an angle to the required main radiation direction (6), for deflecting the light in the main radiation direction. An independent claim for a manufacturing method for a light-emitting semiconductor component is also included.
