Abstract

In einem lose vermaschten IP-Netz tauschen die Netzknoten Erreichbarkeitsnachrichten aus, wobei ein Netzknoten, der einen Ausfall seines einzigen Übertragungsweges zu einem gewünschten Ziel feststellt, einen auf dem Übertragungsweg vor ihm liegenden Netzknoten mit bereitgehaltener alternativer Wegemöglichkeit zu dem Ziel informiert und dieser Netzknoten die für das Ziel bestimmten Datenpakete auf einem alternativen Weg weiterleitet. Hiermit ist gegenüber einer Rekonfiguration des Netzes mittels Routing-Informationen eine erheblich schnellere Fehlerreaktion und damit eine Minimierung der Verzögerung von Datenpaketen erzielbar.
