Abstract

A bolt (2) accommodated in a handle (3) and guided with its lower end into a sleeve (4) with two movable gripping elements (6) located in its lower area (13) is rotated, lifting the sleeve (4) and releasing the gripping elements (6). The hook-shaped lower ends (15, 16) of the gripping elements (6) are inserted into a groove provided at the valve after the unit has been moved into the cylinder head bore and the sleeve (4) moved over the elements (6) again. The valve can now be easily removed.
