Abstract
The press has a forming tool and a forming chamber (1) between upper and lower tool sections (2,3), to hold a component. Upper and/or lower tool section has a forming aperture (9). This contains a forming sleeve (10), which may move to and fro. The inner circumference of the sleeve corresponds to the outer circumference of the formed part (8) to be made by the aperture. An oscillator acts on the forming sleeve and on a counter holder (11), partially enclosed in the sleeve, and guided in the forming aperture. Sleeve and/or counter holder oscillate with an amplitude of 0,1 to 0,3mm, and a frequency of 2 to 3Hz.
