Abstract

Es wird ein Sensorelement eines Sensors zur Detektion eines Gases in Gasgemischen, insbesondere von Sauerstoff oder Stickoxiden in Abgasen von Verbrennungsmotoren, beschrieben. Das Sensorelement weist mindestens eine elektrochemische Messzelle auf, der ein Elektrodenpaar (27, 29, 28, 33) zugeordnet ist. Das Sensorelement umfasst weiterhin als Mittel zur Eliminierung von im Gasgemisch vorhandenem Wasserstoff, Kohlenwasserstoffen und/oder Kohlenmonoxid mindestens zwei weitere Elektroden (31, 32), an die eine Hochspannung anlegbar ist.
