Abstract

The play compensating device (1) has a second actuator with an associated second gearbox (13) that is rigged with a first gearbox (10) associated with a first actuator. The output shafts of the gearboxes are mechanically coupled to a third gearbox (20) and the resulting mechanical chain is mechanically braced. The actuators are in the form of electric motors, especially D.C. motors. An independent claim is also included for the following: (a) a method of compensating the play of an operating element.
