Abstract

At least one Raman pump source (RP1,RP2...) is provided for amplifying optical signals (S1,S2,S3) transmitted along transmission fibers (LWL1,LWL2), and the pump signals (PS1,PS2,...) are fed via an optical connection (OV1,OV2,...) to the transmission fiber. An optical isolator (ISO) is connected between the transmission fiber and a point of interference reflection of the pump signals.
