Abstract

The hollow seam tile (1) has an S-shaped cross-section (19) with a trough-like water course (13). The tile has a production plane (30) which is turned relative to the neutral plane (24) about an axis (31) extending parallel to the longitudinal direction of the tile so that the tile can be placed on two bearing planes of a drying frame (37) designed to hold flat roof pantiles, and of a burner cassette designed to hold a flat roof pantile. The hollow seam tile can be supported in the production plane in its lower middle area underneath the water course (13) over a wide surface area through a flat surface. The hollow seam tile is designed with a side rebate (7) on the lower side to fit on a support (39) on the drying frame and cassette and has on the rebate side support cams (29) to rest on the drying frame and cassette. An independent claim describes method for manufacturing hollow seam tile where a fresh blank is placed on a drying frame intended for flat roof pantiles and then during burning is placed on a production plane which has been turned relative to the neutral plane.
