Description
Pneumatic tires are known in which strength-imparting inserts, which go from bead to bead, are arranged at right angles to the main plane of the tire, d. h., the individual in cord layer parallel or Almost parallel threads lie in planes that are radial to the tire axis. Such tires are too already with reinforcement inserts underneath the tread been equipped, which give the tire sufficient transverse strength and to limit its diameter growth under the influence of internal pressure and centrifugal forces. The known reinforcement arrangements consist of several layers of running parallel to each other Metal wires, the directions of the wire layers being different. The manufacture of this rubberized Wire layers are cumbersome and difficult and require special precautions. Because the angular positions the wire arrangements are to be different, the wires are at least in one layer approximate to the direction of the uni, causing them to crown one on the cylinder drum prevent a wound tire.
The tire according to the invention also has inserts which extend from bead to bead and which extend to the tire axis radial planes lie. The invention consists in that below the tread a tape Rubber or rubber-like material is located, which contains fibers, threads or wires .in a tangled layer. The fibers, threads or pieces of wire made from grown or processed cellulose or from Fully synthetic materials or made of metals should not or at least not for the most part have short lengths, for example in the sense of textile dust, but lengths from a few millimeters to a few centimeters, so that they fit so intimately into the rubber using conventional mixing devices mixed in so that they are covered with rubber on all sides, even if in a very thin layer, are surrounded. The proportion of threads or the like must, however, be so high that after vulcanization of the rubber results in a considerable solidification of the same.
In addition to metal wires, textile threads or threads are also used as strength-giving inserts for tires Plastic threads or cords known reinforcement inserts.

Verstärkungseinlage für LuftreifenThe tires of the invention have numerous advantages. It is not necessary to build up the reinforcement layer located below the tread from individual layers cut for themselves, rather a wide plate can be drawn on the calender from the rubber mixture with the incorporated threads or the like Thick and located below the tread

After the carcass is made on the shoulder drum, one of the strips described is placed on the same and the tread above it. The resulting Green tire can be willingly cambered, d. that is, its middle part can be reduced to a much larger one Bring diameter, since the threads of the reinforcing insert, which are in a tangled position, can be easily removed let them warp against each other. Only through vulcanization does the intended solidification of the Reinforcement insert !! a, so that they now the expansion of the tire in the circumferential direction and its Increased diameter as well as excessive lateral distortion at the point of contact with the ground can prevent.
Es zeigtExemplary embodiments of the subject matter of the invention are shown in the drawing. It shows

The tire contains strength-imparting inserts 1 made of threads or wires attached to the bead wires 2 are anchored or wrapped around them and run at right angles or approximately at right angles to the main plane of the tire. As usual, these will be Threads or wires, lying parallel under each other (in cord layer), provided with a rubber coating and off the obtained web cut out sufficiently wide strips. From these strips and the bead rings 2 the tire casing is first made on the cylindrical folding drum.
In Fig. 3 three individual threads are shown schematically. These run from one bead ring 2 to the one other bead ring 2 and are around this-

Diese Ausführung ist jedoch nicht zwingend, sondern es genügt — wie in Fig. 4 dargestellt — wenn die festigkeitsgebenden Einlagen 2 in Schlingenform um die Wulstdrähte 2 herumgeführt sind.beaten in such a way that they overlap a little in the center zone of the tire. This execution is not mandatory, however, but it is sufficient - as shown in Fig. 4 - if the strength-giving Inlays 2 are guided around the bead wires 2 in loop form.
The tape 3, which is a main feature of the invention, is placed on the base prepared in this way, which consists of rubber or rubber-like materials, which fibers, threads or wires in a tangled layer contain. The tread 4 and thus continue to be over this band 3 or the side rubber strips 5 are applied separately therefrom, as a result of which the green tire is completed. It is then cambered in a known manner, i. H. converted into the hollow ring shape shown in FIG. Assuming constant volume, the band 3 slightly reduces its cross-section because it is has increased its diameter. It is important that there is no noticeable increase in diameter Opposes resistance, since the fibers or threads contained in it willingly move into the surrounding, still warped plastic rubber mass both in their own shape as well as in their mutual position permit. While they were in a completely arbitrary confusion before they were crowned, hers is Individual ply after crowning a little more oriented towards the circumferential direction of the tire, without the However, tangled position is eliminated, so that there is still a tangling of the fibers with one another. If the tire and thus also the rubber compound contained in the belt 3 is vulcanized, then the result is the tape 3 by the fibers, threads or wires contained therein in a sufficient proportion such consolidation that it is no longer appreciably ductile and also has such great shear strength, that it can absorb large forces parallel to its greatest cross-sectional extent. That Volume 3 thus has the advantages in the described embodiment and form of application that it is easy to manufacture and easy to process, but the desired consolidation in the finished tire brings about.
The execution with the band 3 between the inserts 1 and the tread is not mandatory, because the band 3 could also be located between or maintenance) the strength-giving insert 1, albeit the version shown is preferred. Instead of a layer of reinforcement inserts 1 several of them can also be used.
