Gleichzeitig werden die Grafikelemente der Chipkarten immer anspruchsvoller. Aufgrund dieser Komplexität sind Super-Smartkarten mit den heutigen Gestaltungskonzepten und Fertigungstechnologien nur mit erheblichen Kompromissen herstellbar. Dies hat dazu geführt, daß die Herstellung der elektronischen Komponenten der Chipkarte von der Herstellung der grafischen Elemente derselben Chipkarte weitgehend entkoppelt werden, indem die elektronischen Komponenten auf einem Karteninlett zusammengefaßt und bei der Fertigstellung der Karte mit dünnen Designfolien abschließend verbunden werden.Super smart cards contain in addition to the chip card typical chip module and optionally an antenna coil other electronic components such as a display, an authenticity sensor, eg.
