Die Erfindung betrifft eine Vorrichtung zum Vakuum-Druckgießen zur Herstellung von Gussteilen mittels einer, eine Kavität ausbildenden, Druckgießmaschine umfassend eine Gießkammer (1) mit einem Verschlusskolben (2) und einem Gießkolben (6), einen Schmelze-Dosierofen (4) und ein Saugrohr (3) zur Verbindung des Schmelze-Dosierofens (4) mit der Gießkammer (1), wobei der Verschlusskolben (2) und der Gießkolben (6) zwischen einer Grundstellung und einer Endstellung verschiebbar sind, wobei die Gießkammer (1) mindestens zwei Vakuumanschlüsse (5) aufweist, wobei jeder Vakuumanschluss (5) eine Saugöffnung (7) zur Verbindung mit der Gießkammer (1) aufweist, und wobei der Gießkolben (6) in der Endstellung die Saugöffnungen (7) der mindestens zwei Vakuumanschlüsse (5) zumindest bereichs- und/oder abschnittsweise überdeckt. - f) weiteres Verschieben des Gießkolbens von der Grundstellung in Richtung der Endstellung und Beenden des Vakuums und/oder Unterdrucks eines zweiten der mindestens zwei Vakuumanschlüsse; und
- g) Erreichen der Endstellung des Gießkolbens und Verschieben des Verschlusskolbens aus der Grundstellung in eine Endstellung; und
- h) Herstellen des Gussteils.

Das Vakuum und/oder der Unterdruck verursacht eine hineinziehende Kraft, die eine gezielte Dosierung der Schmelze über ein Saugrohr aus dem Schmelze-Dosierofen in die Gießkammer bewirkt. Im nächsten Schritt e) wird der Gießkolben von der Grundstellung in Richtung einer Endstellung verschoben, wobei gleichzeitig das Vakuum und/oder der Unterdruck des ersten der mindestens zwei Vakuumanschlüsse, parallel zum Vorschub des Gießkolbens, beendet wird. Hierdurch bleibt das Vakuum und/oder der Unterdruck bis zum vollständigen Füllen der Gießkammer konstant erhalten, wodurch die Entgasung der Schmelze unter Vermeidung von Oxidbildung stattfindet. Es ist dabei verständlich, dass Schritt f) so lange wiederholt wird, bis das Vakuum und/oder der Unterdruck an den weiteren der mindestens zwei Vakuumanschlüsse ebenfalls beendet ist. Im nächsten Schritt g), das heißt sobald der letzte Vakuumanschluss und dessen Saugöffnung vom Gießkolben überfahren wurde und dieser die Endstellung erreicht hat, wird der Verschlusskolben aus der Grundstellung in die Endstellung verschoben.
