Abstract
Baustoffgemisch aus Pflanzenkohle und Beton für die Herstellung von Blöcken oder Platten mit der zusätzlichen Funktion eines dämmenden und / oder kohlenstoffspeichernden Elements zur Verwendung beim Bau - dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Pflanzenkohle direkt mit dem Beton verbunden ist.
Description
- Stand der Technik
- Die Hersteller von Beton bzw. Zement gehören zu den Hauptemittenten von Treibhausgasen. So ist die „Betonproduktion [...] für etwa 6 bis 9 % aller menschengemachten CO2-Emissionen verantwortlich, was dem Drei- bis Vierfachen der Größenordnung des gesamten Luftverkehrs entspricht.“ (vgl. https://de.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beton; Stand 12.03.2021) In der Konsequenz versucht die Branche, u.a. mittels Nutzung regenerativer Energieträger bei der Herstellung von Zement, möglichst viel CO2 einzusparen und bis zum Jahr 2050 klimaneutral zu werden (vgl. https://www.vdz-online.de/dekarbonisierung; Stand 12.03.2021).
- Der erste Schritt ist also, möglichst umweltschonende und gleichzeitig stabile und wärmedämmende Baustoffe zu entwicklen. Sie sollen möglichst wenig CO2-Ausstoß bei der Produktion verursachen und den Energieverbrauch der späteren Gebäude verringern helfen. Gleichzeitig bieten sich Bauwerke aller Art aber auch zur langfristigen Speicherung von CO2 an - vorausgesetzt man nutzt ein Material, das einen möglichst geringen „Carbon Footprint“ aufweist bzw. das den in ihm gebundenen Kohlenstoff längerfristig nicht in die Atmosphäre abgibt.
- Der zweite Schritt in Richtung CO2-Einsparung bei Gebäuden ist naturgemäß die Verwendung von Baustoffen mit guter Dämmwirkung, um den Heizenergieverbrauch gering zu halten. Manche Baustoffhersteller produzieren aktuell z. B. sogenannte „porosierte Ziegel“ - Ziegelsteine mit kleinen Lufteinschlüssen, die eine bessere Dämmwirkung aufweisen als das herkömmlich massive Material. Wieder andere nutzen z. B. Bimsstein, der von Natur aus sehr viele feinporige Kammern aufweist, um daraus Bims-Beton-Bauelemente mit guter Wärme-Dämmwirkung herzustellen. Leider ist Bims jedoch ein endlicher Rohstoff.
- Erfindungsleistung
- Bei der hier beschriebenen Erfindung geht es darum, den Bims-Anteil im letztgenannten Baustoffgemisch ganz oder teilweise durch Pflanzenkohle (z. B. Holzkohlestücke) zu ersetzen. Pflanzenkohle hat in einem Baustoffgemisch mit Beton den Vorteil,dass ihre beachtliche Wärmedämmleistung (ca.0,042 W/mK - vergleichbar mit Kork) die Energiebilanz des ganz oder teilweise daraus gebauten Gebäudes deutlich verbessern kann.
- Gleichzeitig wird durch die Ersetzung eines Teils des Betons durch Kohle die CO2-Bilanz des Materials deutlich verbessert, da der Kohlenstoff im Materialmix dauerhaft eingelagert ist.
- Es kann Pflanzenkohle in unterschiedlich angepasster Partikelgröße zum Einsatz kommen - je nach gewünschter Stabilitäts- und / oder Wärmedämmleistung der Blöcke und / oder Platten.
- Ein Vorteil der Nutzung von Pflanzenkohle im Vergleich zu Bims ist zudem, dass sie günstig hergestellt werden werden kann und als nachwachsender Rohstoff (bei Beachtung von Regenerationsphasen der Pflanzenwelt) quasi in unendlicher Menge zur Verfügung steht.
- Zudem hat Kohle den Vorteil, dass sie kaum Feuchtigkeit aufnehmen kann und nicht verrottet.
Claims (9)
- Baustoffgemisch aus Pflanzenkohle und Beton für die Herstellung von Blöcken oder Platten mit der zusätzlichen Funktion eines dämmenden und / oder kohlenstoffspeichernden Elements zur Verwendung beim Bau - dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Pflanzenkohle direkt mit dem Beton verbunden ist.
- Baustoffgemisch nach
Patentanspruch 1 , ggf. in Kombination mit weiteren unter diesem Titel genannten Patentansprüchen, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Pflanzenkohle dem Frischbeton (ggf. in veränderlichen Teilen) direkt zugegeben und mit diesem verarbeitet wird. - Baustoffgemisch nach
Patentanspruch 1 , ggf. in Kombination mit weiteren unter diesem Titel genannten Patentansprüchen, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Pflanzenkohle dem jungen, sich bereits im Aushärtungsprozess befindlichen Beton zugegeben und mit diesem verarbeitet wird. - Baustoffgemisch nach
Patentanspruch 1 , ggf. in Kombination mit weiteren unter diesem Titel genannten Patentansprüchen, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Pflanzenkohle, je nach Verwendungszweck des späteren Bauteils, veränderliche Anteile des Materialgemischs ausmacht. - Baustoffgemisch nach
Patentanspruch 1 , ggf. in Kombination mit weiteren unter diesem Titel genannten Patentansprüchen, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Pflanzenkohle im Gemisch eine speziell auf die spätere Belastbarkeit und / oder Wärmedämmleistung angepasste, festgelegte Partikelgröße aufweist. - Baustoffgemisch nach
Patentanspruch 1 , ggf. in Kombination mit weiteren unter diesem Titel genannten Patentansprüchen, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass das Baustoffgemisch neben der Pflanzenkohle und dem Beton Bimsstein als zusätzlich beigefügtes Material enthält. - Baustoffgemisch nach
Patentanspruch 1 , ggf. in Kombination mit weiteren unter diesem Titel genannten Patentansprüchen, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass das Baustoffgemisch neben der Pflanzenkohle und dem Beton Kunststoffpartikel als zusätzlich beigefügtes Material als sog. Kohlenstoffsenke enthält. - Baustoffgemisch nach
Patentanspruch 1 , ggf. in Kombination mit weiteren unter diesem Titel genannten Patentansprüchen, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass dem Baustoffgemisch neben der Pflanzenkohle Hilfsstoffe zur besseren chemischen oder physikalischen Verbindung der Kohle mit dem Beton beigefügt werden. - Baustoffgemisch nach
Patentanspruch 1 , ggf. in Kombination mit weiteren unter diesem Titel genannten Patentansprüchen, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Zusammensetzung in Gewichtsanteilen pro Kubikmeter 1 bis 98 % Pflanzenkohle, 1 bis 98% Beton und 0 bis 98% Wasser umfasst.
