Abstract
Injektion von Botulinum in die Kaumuskulatur, gekennzeichnet dadurch, dass zum Zwecke der Verminderung der Kalorienaufnahme die Kaukraft geschwächt wird.
Description
- Nervengifte behindern die Übertragung von Nervenimpulsen und schwächen damit Muskeln, bis hin zur Lähmung. In heilender Absicht hat sich wegen des günstigen Risikoprofils das Nervengift Botulinum(toxin) durchgesetzt, deswegen ist im Folgenden nur noch von Botulinum die Rede.
- In entsprechend geringer Dosierung wird es bereits erfolgreich bei einer Vielzahl von medizinischen Indikationen verwendet, wie Bewegungsstörungen (Dystonien), Krämpfen (Spasmen), vermehrter Schweißneigung (Hyperhydrosis) und weiteren neuromuskulären Erkrankungen.
- In der Dermatologie wird Botulinum zur Verbesserung der Ästhetik (Faltenbehandlung) in die mimische Muskulatur gespritzt. Weiterhin ist bekannt die Injektion durch die Gesichtshaut in den Musculus masseter, ein großer Kaumuskel zwischen Jochbogen und Kieferwinkel, zwecks Minderung des Zähneknirschens (Bruxismus). Bislang unüblich ist die Injektion in den M. masseter durch den Mund, von intraoral. In den M. temporalis (ein großer Kaumuskel an der Schläfe) wird bislang nur injiziert wegen Migräne.
- Bislang unbekannt ist die Injektion von Botulinum in die Kaumuskulatur zum Zwecke der Gewichtskontrolle, also zum Abnehmen. Übergewicht mit seinen vielfältigen negativen Effekten ist ein weltweites Problem.
- Mit der erfindungsgemässen Abschwächung der Kaumuskulatur durch das applizierte Botulinum einher geht eine verminderte Kauleistung und Kalorienaufnahme, was den gewünschten Effekt der Gewichtsreduktion erzeugt. Dies ist die Aufgabe der Erfindung.
- Die erfindungsgemäße Injektion des Botulinum in den M. masseter erfolgt von intraoral und/oder von extraoral, wobei die intraorale Applikation den Vorteil hat, keine Einstichstelle im sichtbaren Bereich zu erzeugen. Die Injektion in den M. temporalis erfolgt durch die Kopfhaut.
- Durch eine geeignete Dosierung und Injektionstechnik wird ohne gravierende Nebenwirkungen die erwünschte Gewichtsabnahme erreicht. Nach 3-6 Monaten ist der behandelte Muskel ohne weiteres Zutun wieder regeneriert, bei voller Kaukraft. Gegebenenfalls werden die Injektionen wiederholt; dies ist ohne Risikoerhöhung möglich.

- Injektion von Botulinum in die Kaumuskulatur, gekennzeichnet dadurch, dass zum Zwecke der Verminderung der Kalorienaufnahme die Kaukraft geschwächt wird.
- Injektion von Botulinum in die Kaumuskulatur nach
Anspruch 1 , gekennzeichnet dadurch, dass in den M. masseter von intraoral und/oder von extraoral injiziert wird. - Injektion von Botulinum in die Kaumuskulatur nach
Anspruch 1 oder2 , gekennzeichnet dadurch, dass in den M. masseter und/oder in den M. temporalis injiziert wird.
