Abstract

Description

The invention relates to a piece of furniture, with a furniture body which has two opposing body side walls, and with at least one pair of guide units for guiding a movable furniture part, in particular a drawer, in the furniture body, with body side walls each having at least one assembly interface that has at least two have fastening holes arranged one behind the other in a side wall depth direction, to which the guide units of the pair are fastened opposite one another.

Furniture of this type has been known for a long time. Every household has several such pieces of furniture, with furniture bodies in which drawers are moveable. The drawers are guided by means of guide units, of which one guide unit is attached to the left side wall and another guide unit opposite to the right side wall of the furniture body. The furniture bodies can be made of wood or metal. Since drawers have a not inconsiderable weight, especially when they are loaded, the attachment of the associated guide units to the side walls must also be carried out in such a way that the weight of the drawer is reliably absorbed. This requires sufficient stability from the side walls of the furniture body, so that, for example, thin plywood panels are not suitable for such side walls.

Side walls of furniture carcasses known from the prior art therefore have a relatively large wall thickness and are relatively bulky, which means that a relatively large amount of installation space is required. Aesthetically, this is not particularly appealing either.

The object of the invention is therefore to create a piece of furniture of the type mentioned at the outset which, compared to furniture from the prior art, takes up less space overall and is designed to be aesthetically pleasing, in particular with regard to the design of the side walls.

This object is achieved by a piece of furniture with the features of independent claim 1 and with the features of independent claim 14.

The furniture according to the invention according to claim 1 is characterized in that the carcass side walls each have at least two expressions arranged one above the other in a side wall height direction to increase their rigidity, the expressions being raised on the inside of the respective carcass side wall and at least a mounting interface is arranged in the side wall height direction between adjacent impressions.

The features increase the rigidity of the side walls, so that their wall thickness can be significantly less than in the prior art and yet reliable attachment of the guide units to the side wall is possible. A prefabricated body with side walls designed in this way has a lower weight than conventional prefabricated bodies. Furthermore, the side walls with a smaller wall thickness have a not inconsiderable influence on the aesthetics. Another aspect that should not be neglected is that the assembly interfaces for connecting the guide units are arranged in the height direction of the side wall between adjacent features. The clear width of the furniture body, which is available for the assembly of the guide units, is therefore not impaired by the characteristics. On the contrary, in comparison to conventional furniture bodies with relatively wide side walls, with this solution a movable furniture part, in particular a drawer, with a larger width and thus, in the case of a drawer, larger storage space can be used.

In a further development of the invention, the fastening holes of the assembly interfaces are designed for tool-free assembly of the guide units on the body side walls. It is possible, for example, for the fastening holes to be designed like a keyhole as part of a bayonet connection. An alternative tool-free fastening can take place by means of a clip connection, with clip elements arranged on the guide units, for example, being able to be clipped into the fastening holes.

As an alternative to the tool-free fastening of the guide units to the fastening holes of the assembly interfaces, non-tool-free assembly is also possible, for example by means of a screw connection.

In a further development of the invention, the guide unit has a carcass rail and at least one running rail guided on the carcass rail so as to be linearly movable, the carcass rail being fastened to the associated assembly interface on the carcass side wall. The carcass rail can have several fastening brackets arranged one behind the other in the longitudinal direction of the rails or a single continuous long fastening bracket for fastening them in the area of the associated assembly interface on the carcass side wall. It is possible that several running rails are provided, of which one running rail is a pull-out rail and another rail is a middle rail. The middle rail is between the The cabinet rail and the pull-out rail are switched on and are guided in a linearly movable manner both relative to the pull-out rail and relative to the cabinet rail. In a particularly preferred manner, a plurality of assembly interfaces are provided, each of which is arranged between two embossments arranged adjacently in the vertical direction of the side wall. It is therefore possible for the furniture carcass to have several movable furniture parts lying one above the other, for example drawers, which are each fastened to the associated carcass side walls via assembly interfaces and associated fastening holes, the assembly interfaces being arranged between impressions on the carcass side wall.

In a further development of the invention, the fastening holes of a respective mounting interface are arranged in several groups of holes, each having several fastening holes arranged in the side wall depth direction in a common height plane, the hole groups being arranged one above the other in the side wall height direction. The arrangement of the fastening holes in groups of holes offers the advantage that the guide unit to be fastened can be adjusted in height and depth direction and, even in different adjustment positions, pairs of fastening holes and assembly holes aligned with one another can always be found on the guide unit side.

In a further development of the invention, the body side walls are designed as sheet metal components, in particular sheet metal components. It is possible, for example, to design the body side walls as thin sheet components.

In the case of sheet metal body side walls, the material thickness of such side walls is less than 3 mm, preferably 0.5 to 1.5 mm, in particular 0.7 mm to 1 mm.

In the case of side walls not designed as thin sheet metal components, the body side walls can have a wall thickness that is in the range from 4mm to 30mm, preferably 6mm to 19mm, in particular 8mm by 16mm.

In the case of body side walls designed as sheet metal components, there is the advantage that these are much easier to clean compared to wooden components and the cleaning can be carried out with chemicals. Such furniture is not only used in the kitchen, but office furniture designed in this way is also conceivable.

In a further development of the invention, the piece of furniture has at least one movable furniture part, in particular a drawer, which is guided in the furniture body by means of a pair of guide units. However, other movable furniture parts are also conceivable, for example a furniture pull-out that is not designed as a drawer or a furniture flap.

In a further development of the invention, at least one of the body side walls has holding means for holding an electrical line. At least one electrical line, for example a power cable, is expediently held on the holding means. As an alternative or in addition, it is possible for the body side walls to have at least one opening for the passage of an electrical line. At least one electrical line is expediently passed through the associated opening.

In a further development of the invention, the furniture has a base and a rear wall, which are each connected to the body side walls by means of fastening means, the fastening means preferably being set up for tool-free fastening of the body side walls, base and rear wall to one another.

Such a solution offers tool-free attachment of the guide units to the associated body side wall.
