Description
TECHNISCHES GEBIETTECHNICAL AREA
The present description relates to the field of inductive components and in particular to a novel inductive component with a magnetic core made of nanocrystalline laminate.
HINTERGRUNDBACKGROUND
Inductive components such as transformers, chokes and the like with toroidal cores are widespread and are used in a variety of applications. Ferromagnetic metal alloys can be used as materials for toroidal cores, mostly in the form of sheet metal / foil (e.g. toroidal tape cores) or bound powder (powder cores). Alternatively, oxide-ceramic ferrimagnetic materials (ferrites) can be used (ferrite cores). The aforementioned ferromagnetic metal alloys can essentially be divided into the three groups “crystalline”, “nanocrystalline” or “amorphous”. Amorphous and nanocrystalline alloys are usually produced in a process known as rapid solidification. In a rapid solidification process, the formation of crystalline structures is prevented by abrupt cooling of the liquid metal. Here, iron-based nanocrystalline alloys play a special role.

The object on which the invention is based can be seen in providing an inductive component which has a magnetic core with comparatively low permeability (smaller than is possible with conventional nanocrystalline toroidal tape cores) and small losses.
ZUSAMMENFASSUNGSUMMARY

Verschiedene Ausführungsbeispiele und Weiterentwicklungen sind Gegenstand der abhängigen Patentansprüche. The above-mentioned object is achieved by a magnetic core according to

According to an exemplary embodiment, the method comprises providing a soft magnetic tape made of an amorphous iron-based alloy; heat treating the ribbon thereby rendering the alloy nanocrystalline; providing a tape of electrically insulating material; connecting the soft magnetic, nanocrystalline tape to the electrically insulating tape by means of an adhesive to form a laminate; and breaking the soft magnetic nanocrystalline ribbon into a plurality of fragments by locally applying pressure to the laminate; and winding up the laminate to form an annular magnetic core or stacking a plurality of laminate layers to form a magnetic core.

DETAILLIERTE BESCHREIBUNGDETAILED DESCRIPTION
