Abstract

Description

The invention relates to a mount adapter set for an MG6 machine gun.

The MG6 machine gun is integrated in the SERVAL weapon system and the LUH-SOF weapon system. There is no way to use the MG6 machine gun in an infantry way, as this weapon cannot be used as a hand weapon due to its mass and the associated bulky batteries and ammunition box. Rather, the MG6 machine gun can only be used with a mount. However, the MG6 machine gun is not compatible with any of the body-guided mounts introduced into the Bundeswehr.

From the US 2011/0214329 A1 an adapter is known which forms a mechanical interface between a gun barrel and a bipod mount.

From the US 8 978 538 B1 a clampable weapon mount is known. The weapon holder has a conical receptacle for the weapon.

From the DE 10 2004 043 711 B4 an adapter is known to arrange different weapons in a free directional mount.

The object of the invention is to increase the application range of the MG6 machine gun.

This object is achieved according to the invention by the features of claim 1.

The advantages of the invention are that the mount adapter set enables infantry use of the MG6 machine weapon. For example, if the SERVAL weapon system fails, soldiers can carry the MG6 machine gun with them and continue to use it on a GMW mount of the grenade machine gun or the M3 field mount of the sMG-M2-QCB heavy machine gun. The mount adapter set enables the straightening range limitation of the GMW mount or the M3 field mount to be used.

A target area limitation is necessary to shoot past your own troops and to avoid collateral damage. The mounting of the MG6 machine gun on a GMW mount of the grenade machine gun or the M3 field mount facilitates training, as there is no need to resort to expensive weapon systems, there is better accessibility and the weapon system can be set up anywhere.

In the installation position, the cylinder bolt of the adapter is secured against twisting opposite the receiving hole of the vertical arm of the MG6 machine gun with a twist lock, whereas the conical bolt of the adapter can be rotated within the conical seat of the GMW mount or the M3 field mount. This has the effect that when the vertical arm rotates, the adapter with the stop rocker also rotates. The pivoting movement of the stop swing arm is combined with the kinematics of the straightening range limitation of the GMW mount or the M3 field mount.

The connection part is attached to the adapter and creates an indirect connection from the adapter to the swing arm. The stop swing arm is therefore not attached to the weapon. The weapon therefore remains unchanged and does not require a new approval.

The stop swing arm is used to be able to use the straightening range limitation of the GMW mount or the M3 field mount.

The stop rocker is separate from the adapter in order to be able to use the adapter alone without limiting the straightening range.

According to one embodiment of the invention, the adapter has a support collar which is arranged between the head section and foot section and which in the installed position is supported on the one hand against the vertical arm of the MG6 machine gun and on the other hand against the GMW mount or the M3 field mount. If a shooter swings the MG6 machine gun, the MG6 machine gun slides on a lower ring surface of the support collar on an upper ring surface of the GMW mount or the M3 field mount.

According to a further embodiment of the invention, the connection part is fastened in the installed position at a first end to the support collar of the adapter. The support collar is best suited to attach the connector to the adapter.

According to a further embodiment of the invention, the connection part can be connected to the first end of the stop rocker in an articulated manner at a second end via a pivot pin. The articulation via a pivot pin offers a degree of freedom of movement and facilitates assembly.

According to a further embodiment of the invention, the connection part and the stop rocker form a preassembled unit. This represents an alternative to the separate design of the connection part and the stop rocker.

If, for example, the SERVAL weapon system fails, the MG6 machine gun can be carried by soldiers and used on a GMW mount of the grenade machine gun.

Likewise, the MG6 machine gun can be used on an M3 field mount of the heavy machine gun "sMG-M2-QCB". This use is not shown and will not be described further, since this use is evident from the description below.

The mount adapter set enables the straightening range limitation to be used 58 ( 1 ) of the GMW mount 50 . The directional range limitation 58 has adjustable end stops 58a and 58b on.

The mount adapter set includes an adapter 10 , a connector 20th and a stop swing arm 30th . The adapter 10 is designed to provide a mechanical interface between a vertical arm 41 a MG6 machine gun 40 and a GMW mount 50 a grenade machine gun called HK (Heckler and Koch) -GMW.

The adapter 10 has a head section in relation to the installation position 11 and a foot section 16 on.
