Stand der TechnikState of the art
Electronic devices of the type described above are known in particular in the form of handheld vacuum cleaners. The handheld vacuum cleaner has a consumer arrangement, which essentially consists of a suction motor arranged in a housing, with which a suction flow is produced through a dust filter. To provide power for operating the motor, an accumulator arrangement is provided, which is arranged, for example, as an exchangeable accumulator package in the housing of the consumer arrangement.
Zusammenfassung der ErfindungSummary of the invention
The invention has for its object to provide measures with which the service life of the battery is extended when an unused electrical device.
The object is achieved by the invention specified in the claims.
First and foremost, it is proposed that the battery arrangement can assume an idle state. In this idle state, the accumulator arrangement is connected to the supply line, the signal line and a ground line to the consumer arrangement. In the idle state, however, the electrical device is set up in such a way that neither the consumer, nor a control device of the consumer arrangement, nor a control device of the battery arrangement is supplied with electrical power. In the idle state, according to the invention, with the exception of unavoidable leakage currents, no currents flow through the consumer or through one of the several control circuits. The control devices, which can preferably be microcontrollers, thus assume a sleep state in the idle state in which they do not consume any power. For this purpose, it is proposed in particular that, in the idle state, the supply line is separated from the energy store, which can be battery cells. An operating voltage supply of the control device assigned to the accumulator arrangement is likewise deactivated. According to the invention, closing the start button, which is preferably physically assigned to the consumer arrangement, is intended to cause a change in potential. In particular, it is provided that the signal line is kept at a potential above ground in the idle state. This is done without current. As soon as the start button is closed, an at least high-resistance lead connection between the signal line and ground, that is to say the zero potential, can be produced. A potential change occurs on the signal line side. The electronic circuit of the accumulator arrangement is designed such that the accumulator arrangement changes into an active state due to this change in potential, in which the consumer arrangement is supplied with power. According to the invention, the electrical device can thus be put into operation by pressing a button; for example, the suction motor of a vacuum cleaner can be put into operation. By pressing the start button, a wake-up signal is transmitted from the consumer arrangement to the accumulator arrangement via the signal line. The signal line can be used as a data exchange path between the two control devices in the active state of the battery arrangement or in the active state of the device. According to the invention, data can be transmitted serially, for example at a bit rate of 9600 kbit / s, via the signal line, which can be a single wire. In particular, mutual data transmission via the signal line is provided. Data relating to the state of charge of the accumulator can be transmitted from the accumulator arrangement. The consumer arrangement can have a display in order to make this data visible. After the awakening state of the control device assigned to the accumulator arrangement has been reached, the supply line is preferably connected to the energy store. Along with this, the control device of the consumer arrangement is supplied with power, so that this control device is switched from a sleep state not consuming any power to a waking state which consumes and controls and / or monitors power. A disconnector can be provided, which is arranged in an activation line between the signal line and the ground line. The start switch is also arranged in this activation line. The isolating switch, which is closed in the idle state, that is to say connects the start switch to the signal line, is used according to a preferred development of the invention Wake up the control device assigned to the consumer arrangement opened so that the lead connection between the start switch and signal line is disconnected. In the activated state, no wax-up signals can thus be generated by actuating the start switch or transmitted via the signal line. The active signal line is only available for data exchange. On the side of the accumulator arrangement, a growth signal filter is preferably provided, which can distinguish the growth signal transmitted via the signal line from the data signals. It is preferably a low-pass filter. It is considered advantageous if an accumulator package designed as an accumulator arrangement can be removed from a housing forming the consumer arrangement, at least one supply line and one signal line being separated in the process. It is also considered advantageous if a data exchange between two control devices takes place in the active state via a single single-wire signal line and a wax-up signal can be transmitted in the idle state to activate the device.
In a further development, it is provided that the consumer arrangement has a feed connection which is connected to a charging current line, which leads to the accumulator arrangement. An external power source can be connected to the feed connector to charge the energy storage device. According to a variant of the invention, it is provided that the electrical device can also be brought from the idle state into the active state by feeding in a charging current. A charging voltage can be tapped from the charging current line. If this exceeds a lower limit value, the control device of the accumulator arrangement is woken up, as described above. In this variant, however, it is provided that after the end of the charging process of the energy store, the control device of the battery arrangement automatically falls into the sleep state, so that the supply line is disconnected from the energy store, with the result that the control device of the consumer arrangement, which is then no longer supplied with power, also goes into its sleep state falls. In order to differentiate between these two different activation variants, the device has a growth signal memory. In this growth signal memory, for example, a capacitor is charged as a storage element when the growth signal is transmitted via the signal line by actuating the start switch. The memory can then be queried with a time delay by the woken-up control device of the battery arrangement. In a further development of the invention it is proposed that the start button is connected not only to the isolating switch, but also directly to a signal reception pin of the control device assigned to the consumer arrangement. In the active state, in which the disconnector is open, the consumer, for example the motor of a vacuum cleaner, can then be switched off by actuating the start switch. The control device receives the relevant signal from the start button via the signal reception pin. The control device can then or possibly later, after a predetermined time, use the signal line to inform the control device of the battery arrangement that the motor is switched off. The control device of the accumulator arrangement can then put itself into a sleep state, in which, for example, the operating voltage supply of the control device is switched off automatically. In this case, the supply line is disconnected from the energy store.
