Glass tanks in the form of aquariums or terrariums are used to keep some very exclusive and expensive fish or reptiles. Both in the aquarium and in the terraristic the glass basins can have pool sizes with a capacity of approx. 20 liters up to several 100 liters. According to the capacity of the glass basins, their glass panes are dimensioned. However, due to the pricing of common aquariums and terrariums, the problem is that the glass panels are not unbreakable and therefore not safe to run, or can form in these cracks over time, then to an at least partially reduced strength of the discs, up to their rupture, and in the case of aquariums, can lead to the discharge of water from the aquarium, whereby the fish kept in the aquarium are life-threatening. Unfortunately, the occurrence of stress cracks or the breaking of a glass of an aquarium or terrarium is unpredictable, whereby, especially in the absence of rapid intervention by the owner, for example, to save the fish living in the aquarium, is not given. To counteract a breakage of glass panes, the use of laminated safety glass in aquarium construction is already known. However, these aquariums are extremely expensive. In addition, the laminated safety glass panes are usually multi-layered as a laminate with a film arranged between two or more glass layers. As a result, laminated safety glass panes are extremely heavy compared to simple glass panes, and their transparency decreases with the number of glass layers. In addition, disassembly or replacement of the glass panes installed in laminated safety glass, for example in the case of turbidity of the film installed between the glass layers, is only possible by completely replacing the glass surface or glass pane of an aquarium or terrarium, for which the aquarium or terrarium is emptied and the animals living in it must be relocated temporarily.
Die
Offenbarung der ErfindungDisclosure of the invention
The object of the invention is to at least partially improve the glass panes of glass basins known from the prior art. In particular, it is the object of the present invention to design glass panes of aquariums and terrariums at least temporarily in a leak-proof manner in the event of a breakage of the glass pane or in the event of stress cracks.
The above object is achieved by the use of a protective film as splintering and / or scratch protection with the features of claim 1, by a method for bonding a glass surface of a glass basin, in particular an aquarium or terrarium, wherein on the glass surface a protective film with at least one protective layer and at least one adhesive layer is adhered to the features of claim 3, by a retrofit kit having the features of claim 6 and a protective film for use as splintering and / or scratch protection on a glass surface of a glass basin, in particular an aquarium or terrarium, with the features solved according to
Further features and details of the invention will become apparent from the dependent device claims, the description and the drawings. In this case, features and details that are described in connection with the inventive use of the protective film, of course, also in connection with the inventive method for bonding a glass surface with a protective film, the retrofit kit according to the invention for retrofitting a glass surface of a glass basin and the protective film according to the invention for use as splintering and / or scratch protection on a glass surface of a glass basin and in each case vice versa, so that with respect to the disclosure of the individual aspects of the invention is always reciprocal reference, or can be.
- at least one protective layer which is transparent, and
- at least one adhesive layer with which the protective layer can be bonded to the glass surface of the glass basin,
Experiments by the inventor have shown that even after several days and weeks, no water was lost due to a stress crack in a glass sheet glued to a protective film from an aquarium. A splinter break caused by a hammer of a glass pane of a water-filled aquarium glued to a protective film led to the result that no water from the aquarium at the points of fragmentation occurred over several days and weeks and, moreover, the glass fragments were held on the protective foil.
The protective film is a commercially available protective film or anti-shatter film which advantageously has a single layer, i. single layer is formed with at least one protective layer. The protective layer advantageously has a layer thickness of 15μ to 300μ, more preferably the protective layer has a layer thickness between 20μ to 125μ, and most preferably a layer thickness between 23μ and 75μ. For the layer thickness of the protective film, in particular when used according to the invention on glass surfaces of glass basins, in particular aquariums and terrariums, it is crucial that the transmission through the protective film is not impaired in the visible range, so that the organisms living behind the glass surfaces, such as corals, plants, fish , Reptiles and other creatures are visible in their colors in their observation. In addition, it is also desirable that the protective film minimizes the strong reflection known from glass surfaces and thus virtually glazes the glass surface by adhering the protective film to its glass surface, thereby further improving the view through the glass pane adhered to the protective film. In addition, the protective film is suitable as a heat and sun protection and can advantageously absorb UV rays. For the achievement of the object of the present invention, however, decisively decisive is that glass basins, in particular aquariums and terrariums, which are not equipped with unbreakable panes of laminated safety glass, these by the inventive use of a protective film in their destruction, i. in the event of breakage or occurrence of stress cracks in the glass surface, these are leak-proof at least over a certain period, i. no water can escape through the fracture or stress crack, since the protective film adhered to the glass surface can maintain the integrity of the glass sheet at the location of the fracture or stress crack for a prolonged period of time, i. the protective film is able to bind splinters in the event of glass breakage, or the protective film forms such a strong bond with the glass surface that a fracture, for example a crack, does not expand further. In order to ensure a full-surface adhesion of the protective film to the glass surface, the protective film on the surface which contacts the glass surface is at least provided with an adhesive which forms an adhesive layer or is applied to the surface of the protective film facing the glass surface can. The adhesive which forms the adhesive layer is selected according to the invention from an adhesive of one or more components, which harden on drying and form a transparent adhesive film or a transparent adhesive layer, whereby the undisturbed view through the glass sheet adhered to the protective film is maintained. Should the surface of the protective film be scratched or damaged, or should the protective film be tarnished over time, the adhesive layer forming adhesive, together with the protective film, can be removed from the glass surface again, i. removable with the protective film and the glass surface can then be protected by a new protective film from scratches and before, for example, a breakage of the glass sheet by a stress crack. In this respect, the protective layer with the adhesive layer can advantageously be removed from the glass surface without residue.
For the purposes of the present invention, "glass surface of a glass basin" is to be understood as meaning all glass surfaces of the glass basin, namely both the glass surfaces lying on the inside of the basin and the glass surfaces forming the outer surfaces of the glass basin. The glass basin can be a complete glass basin or a glass basin, in which only one or more viewing walls made of sight glass in the form of a glass pane are formed.
The protective film, which is used according to the invention as splintering and / or scratch protection on the glass surface of a glass pane, advantageously fulfills the function of leakage protection when used on a glass basin filled with a fluid, in particular water, for at least an extended period of time. the protective film with the adhesive layer forms a barrier to the fluid in the area of destruction of the glass sheet.
The protective film used can be advantageously designed as a magnifying glass, color film and / or UV protective film.
The object is further achieved by a method for gluing a glass surface of a glass basin, in particular an aquarium or terrarium, wherein on the glass surface a protective film is adhered with at least one protective layer and at least one adhesive layer, which includes the technical teaching that at least the glass surface or the Protective film moistened with a mixture of a water and cleaning liquid and / or mounting liquid and peeled and / or doctored, and then the protective film with the adhesive layer on the glass surface to form a moisture film between the adhesive layer and the glass surface is applied, the protective film relative to the glass surface on which moisture film floating, can be aligned.
Advantageously, the alignment of the protective film relative to the glass surface is carried out in a floating manner on a moisture film which is formed from a cleaning and / or assembly liquid between the adhesive layer and the glass surface. After aligning the protective film on the glass surface, the moisture film formed by the cleaning and / or assembly liquid advantageously dries or evaporates to harden the adhesive layer, the protective film being glued to the glass surface with the glass pane and an increasingly strong composite of protective film becoming increasingly hard and glass sheet forms. The floating orientation of the protective film to the glass surface also has the advantage that with a puller or with a squeegee the moisture film formed between the adhesive layer and the glass surface of the cleaning and / or assembly liquid can be pressed out over the film edges, at the same time air pockets, the can form with the application of the film on the glass surface between the film and the glass surface, are pressed out with it. As a result, a full-surface planar composite without air inclusions in the form of air bubbles between the protective film and the glass surface can advantageously be realized.
As a cleaning liquid, for example, a surfactant mixture of a surfactant and water can be used. In particular, when using the protective film on glass surfaces on the inside of glass tanks, especially aquariums or terrariums, it is advantageous if the surfactants used are biodegradable.
The mounting liquid, like the cleaning liquid, may be a surfactant mixture of an ionic or nonionic surfactant and water, and may additionally contain an adhesion promoter in the form of an adhesive, advantageously the adhesive layer for the protective film after application of the mounting liquid to the glass surface or to a surface of the protective film forms over which the protective film forms a bond with the glass surface. The montage liquid may also contain an activator which activates the adhesive used on the adhesive layer protective film so that, upon contact with the mounting liquid, the adhesive layer begins to harden and eventually becomes transparent.
After aligning the protective film on the glass surface and advantageously after the adhesive layer has cured, the protective film surface opposite the adhesive layer is preferably sealed by applying a sealing liquid, whereby the surface of the protective film coated with the sealing liquid obtains an improved cleaning property. As a sealing liquid is advantageously a nano-sealing, for example self-assembling SI molecular structures in the nanoscale on polymer or siloxane-based, creating a thin, invisible and chemically adherent protective layer on the protective layer surface of the protective film, which causes a lotus effect, so that water and water together with dirt , Dust, grease and oil from the protective layer surface of the protective film. However, other hydrophobic substances are also conceivable, for example nonpolar substances such as fats, waxes or alcohols with long alkyl radicals, which are applied with the sealing liquid to the surface of the protective film of the protective film.
- at least one protective film having at least one protective layer, which is transparent, and at least one adhesive layer,
- at least one squeegee, one roller and / or puller,
- - At least one cleaning fluid and / or mounting fluid
- - Optionally contains at least one sealing liquid
As already described for the method according to the invention, the adhesive layer can by Applying the mounting liquid are formed on the glass surface or the protective film of the film.
As a protective film for the retrofit kit can be used advantageously in custom-fit surfaces in the form of blanks formed protective film, which is in the set of different blanks, which are based on standard sizes of glass panes of glass tanks, especially aquariums or terrariums, attached to the retrofit kit. Accordingly, different retrofit kits, which are specially adapted to the standard sizes of glass basins are offered, the film sections are already prefabricated. A protective film set in this case comprises at least one protective film made of a foil blank whose surface is adapted, for example, to the surface of the viewing window or a viewing window of an aquarium. If a plurality of panes of the glass basin are made of glass, in which case the panes of the glass basin are understood to be in particular the side walls and the bottom of a glass basin, the protective foil set advantageously comprises foil sections whose surfaces are adapted to the surfaces of the panes of the glass pan. The protective film for the retrofit kit can also be in the form of a film web, which advantageously rolled or folded the retrofit kit enclosed, be formed. The formation of the protective film in the form of a film web is particularly advantageous if the glass surfaces of the glass basins are outside standard sizes, so that the size of a protective film according to the invention can be realized for the non-standard glass surfaces of the glass basins by cutting blanks from the film web full-surface bond with the glass surface forms. Advantageously, only one film section can be configured as a film set for the retrofit kit, which has parallel to the range of abutting edges formed on the glass basin, which are located between two interconnected glass surfaces or discs, punches, folds or embossments, a tailor-made allocation of the protective film allow around the abutting edges and their orientation on the at least two interconnected glass surfaces. Regardless of whether the protective film is in the form of blanks or in the form of a film web, the protective film can also be configured or cut to a patch or glass break plaster, which or which does not cover the glass surface of a glass sheet of a glass basin over the entire surface. Advantageously, a patch or cullet plaster can be glued in an emergency to the glass surface of a damaged glass of a glass basin according to the said method, for example, at an aquarium to stop the flow of water over the destroyed place in the glass at least temporarily. However, a patch or glass break plaster in the form of the use of the protective film according to the invention can also serve, for example, to stop the expansion of the fracture, for example a stress crack, by forming a strong bond between the glass surface lying around the break and the protective film forms.
Advantageously, the retrofit kit can be supplemented by a cleaning instrument, such as a window cloth, a sponge and / or a Magnetputzer whose cleaning surfaces are adapted to the surface structure of the protective film, so that abrasive effects when cleaning the protective film minimized and the cleaning of the protective film surface are optimized. In addition, the use of a matched to the set parts of the retrofit kit cleaning instrument is advantageous so that the applied to the protective surface seal when cleaning the glass basin is not or at least only slightly removed.
Also, the butt edges of two interconnected panes of glass or a pane of glass bonded to another wall element which is not made of glass material are butted, i. To protect the corners edges of a glass basin optimally, the retrofit kit advantageously contains an edge sealing set comprising at least one liquid plastic and / or a splinter protection lacquer as a sealing lacquer, for example the known under the product name OPALFILM® liquid plastic, which after its application and drying on a glass surface of a Glass sheet is able to bind splinters by breaking glass by forming a protective film. In the present case, the edge-sealing set also advantageously serves to seal the edges of the protective film, so that water can not escape via the edge regions of the protective film in the event of glass breakage. Instead of the liquid plastic and / or a splinter protection lacquer, the edge regions of the protective film can also be sealed on silicone or acrylic sealants.
Both the adhesive layer of the protective film, which is transparent after curing, and the liquid plastic and / or the anti-reflection varnish, which become transparent upon drying, can comprise hydrophilic components which can be used as an indicator for indicating a water outlet from a glass basin. When combined with water and its storage, the hydrophilic constituents advantageously take on a milky coloration of turbidity, whereby even the slightest leakage of water through the smallest microcracks in the glass panes of a glass basin on the milky haze of the liquid plastic and / or the splinter protection lacquer or the adhesive layer of the protective film can be displayed.
The abutting edges between the corners of a glass basin can advantageously be protected with angles in the form of angle strips or in the form of foil sections which are designed to be transferred around abutting edges formed on the glass basin between two glass surfaces, with or without the prior application of a sealing lacquer. According to the invention, therefore, the retrofit kit according to the invention optionally includes prefabricated or cut to size angle strips or foil sections, which serve to protect the abutting edges of a glass basin. The film sections advantageously have in the longitudinal direction at least one fold line in the form of a punching, a fold or an embossment, which facilitates the transfer of the film section formed for the abutting edges around the corner of the glass basin.
Preferably, all sets of parts of the retrofit kit can be adapted or selected in the modular system to the size of a glass basin, especially an aquarium or terrarium, so that the retrofit kit can be customized and individually customized in addition to the adapted to standard sizes of glass tanks retrofit.
Finally, another aspect of the present invention is a protective film formed as a splintering and / or scratch protection on a glass surface of a glass basin, in particular an aquarium or terrarium, which is suitable for use according to the invention, which can be used in the method according to the invention and which of the invention Retrofit kit is included as a set part. The protective film advantageously has at least one protective layer, which is transparent, and comprises at least one adhesive layer, with which the protective layer is bonded to the glass surface of the glass basin in order to form a solid bond with the glass surface, which is reversible according to the invention. The protective film according to the invention includes the technical teaching that the protective layer is made of a seamless plastic web, forming a film ring. The size of the foil ring, d. H. the diameter of the foil ring is advantageously adapted to the standard sizes of aquariums or terrariums. Folding lines in the form of a punching, a fold or an embossment are advantageously designed on the areas of the film ring coming to the abutment at the abutting edges, which facilitate the transfer of the film ring around the corner of the glass basin. A designed as a film ring protective film thus has the advantage that in one operation, the entire glass surface of a glass basin is protected with only a protective film, due to the encircling film no film edge areas arise, which additionally with a sealing varnish, angle strips or overlapping at the abutting edges of the glass basin Film sections must be protected so that in the event of a glass breakage no water can escape in these areas.
All described protective films advantageously comprise a protective layer and an adhesive layer, wherein the adhesive layer can also be formed by applying a mounting liquid to the protective layer. At least on a surface of the protective layer, or in the case where an adhesive layer is already applied to the protective layer, at least on the adhesive layer for protecting the adhesive surface or for protecting the surface, a protective film, for example in the form of a release film, a release paper or a membrane layer be applied or glued on. If the protective film is connected to the adhesive surface of the protective film, it is removed before the protective film is stuck to the glass surface. If the protective film covers the protective layer surface of the protective film, it is advantageously removed after the mechanical stressing of the protective layer by knife coating, rolling or stripping in order to avoid damage to the surface of the protective layer during this work step. To peel off the protective film, tabs, labels or single or double tabs can advantageously be connected to the protective film or monolithically, i. be formed uniformly with the protective film. In addition, it may be advantageous to adhere to the protective film positioning element, which advantageously protrude beyond the outer edges of the protective film and the protective film and which are dissolved before the separation of the protective film of this, to the protective layer of the protective film on the glass surface after the alignment of the protective film relative to the To position glass surface, ie to fix them in the aligned position, at least until the adhesive of the adhesive layer is at least partially cured. Both for the drying of the moisture film between the adhesive layer and the glass surface, or between the protective film layer and the glass surface, as well as for the disassembly of the protective film from the glass surface, heating of the surface or the film may have advantageous, for which preferably a hot air device can be used can.
- at least one protective layer which is transparent,
- - at least one adhesive layer with which the protective layer can be bonded to the glass surface of the glass basin, the adhesive layer being transparent at least after it has dried, the protective film being applied to the glass surface of a glass pane of a glass basin and being machine-mounted via a machine comprising a roller arrangement is pressed with this.
In the case of machine retrofitting, the protective film designed as a splintering and / or scratch protection, which has the same properties as the protective film referred to the other aspects of the invention, is preferably applied to the glass surface of a glass pane for a glass basin in a machine roll printing process. In the roller printing method, the film rolled up on a roll is advantageously unrolled by machine and brought into contact with the glass surface of a glass pane via a roller arrangement. Preferably, the protective film is guided over a composite roller and leveled with the adhesive layer, or laid on a previously applied to the glass surface adhesive layer on the glass surface of the glass and then pressed with a counter-pressure roller or with a squeegee on the glass surface to a solid composite of the protective film to effect with the glass surface. Laying the protective film on the glass surface may be floating, i. with prior application of a moisture film of a cleaning and / or assembly liquid to the glass surface or to the surface of the protective film facing the glass surface, or advantageously in a dry process without prior application of a moisture film from a cleaning and / or assembly liquid. The dry-machining method has the advantage over the method of previously applying the cleaning and / or assembly liquid that the adhesive layer between the glass surface and the protective film dries faster and thus the bond between the protective film and the glass surface is formed faster.
