Abstract
Transparenter thermoplastischer Werkstoff zur Herstellung transparenter Halbzeuge und Formteile, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass Hohlräume in Form von Gasblasen mit Durchmessern unter 100 nm und heterogen verteilte keimbildende Partikel aus schichtförmigen Hydroxiden oder aus Calziumcarbonat mit Durchmessern unter 100 nm vorhanden sind und netzwerkartig im Werkstoff verteilt sind und hierdurch 0,5–2,0 μm große Bereiche aus unaufgeschlossenen Polymerclustern ohne Hohlräume und ohne Hydroxide und ohne Calziumcarbonat umschließen.
Description
- Der Erfindung liegt die Aufgabe zugrunde, transparente thermoplastische Werkstoffe zur Herstellung von Formteilen und Halbzeugen sowie die Formteile und Halbzeuge selbst zur Verfügung zu stellen, die bei reduziertem Gewicht verbesserte mechanische Eigenschaften bei hoher Deformationsgeschwindigkeit aufweisen.
- Gelöst wurde die Aufgabe dadurch, dass Gasblasen inhomogen in Netzwerkstrukturen um 0,5–2,0 μm große unaufgeschlossene Polymercluster eingebracht werden, die aufgrund Ihrer Größe unter 100 nm die Transparenz nicht beeinflussen, bei hoher Deformationsgeschwindigkeit durch die Ausbildung von Spannungskonzentrationen aber plastische Deformation einleiten und hierdurch sprödes Bauteilversagen verhindern und dass zur Ausbildung dieser Nanoblasen heterogen verteilte Keime mit Durchmessern unter 100 nm aus Calziumcarbonat oder aus schichtförmigen Hydroxiden eingebracht werden.
- Stand der Technik ist die Ausrüstung transparenter Werkstoffe mit Elastomerpartikeln, um die mechanischen Eigenschaften bei hoher Deformationsgeschwindigkeit zu verbessern. Allerdings weisen diese Partikel im Vergleich zur erfindungsgemäßen Ausrüstung mit Gasblasen sowohl einen größeren Gemengepreis als auch eine höhere Dichte auf, sodass sich höhere Bauteil- bzw. Flächengewichte ergeben.
- Stand der Technik ist ebenfalls der Eintrag von nanoskaligen dispersen Phasen, bevorzugt aus anorganischen Partikeln (
DE 20 2013 008 661 U1 ), wobei der Anteil an disperser Phase höher sein muss als der Anteil an heterogenen Keimen in den erfindungsgemäßen Werkstoffen. Der erfindungsgemäße Werkstoff erlaubt dagegen, im Vergleich zu Werkstoffen mit solchen dispersen Phasen geringere Bauteilgewichte bzw. Flächengewichte umzusetzen. Insbesondere für Anwendungen im Bereich der Luftfahrt bedeutet diese Eigenschaft der erfindungsgemäßen Werkstoffe einen Mehrwert. - Weiterhin ist Stand der Technik die Herstellung von Werkstoffen, die Blasen mit Durchmessern kleiner 200 nm und zudem anorganische Füllstoffe als Nukleierungsmittel beinhalten (
US 2012/0121905 A1 WO 2011/066060 A1 US 2011/0008609 A1 - Zudem weisen diese Ausführungen auch Blasen > 200 nm Durchmesser auf, wodurch die mögliche Wandstärke der aus diesen Werkstoffen hergestellten Halbzeugen und Formteile eingeschränkt werden muss, um die Transparenz zu erhalten.
- Für die Verbesserung der mechanischen Eigenschaften ist es erfindungsgemäß, die Durchmesser der Schaumblasen kleiner als 100 nm und besonders vorteilhaft, diese Durchmesser kleiner als 60 nm einzustellen. Beste Eigenschaften ergeben sich mit Blasen kleiner 40 nm Durchmesser, da hierbei eine maximale Zahl an Blasen generiert wird.
- Auch die heterogenen Keime müssen Korngrößen kleiner als 100 nm aufweisen, sodass die Transparenz nicht durch deren Zugabe beeinträchtigt wird. Um die gewünschten Blasengröße zu generieren, sind Partikelgrößen unterhalb von 50 nm vorteilhaft. Alternativ besteht die Möglichkeit, zur Sicherstellung der Transparenz solche Hydroxide auszuwählen, deren Berechungsindex zum dem der Polymermatrix eine maximale Abweichung von 0,02 beträgt.
- Wichtig zur Ausbildung von plastischen Deformationsanteilen bei hoher Deformationsgeschwindigkeit ist der Eintrag einer Mindestkonzentration an keimbildenden Partikeln in der Netzwerkstruktur. Vorteilhaft sind Konzentrationen von 1010 Keimen/cm3, besonders vorteilhaft Konzentrationen von 1011 Keimen/cm3 und ganz besonders vorteilhaft Konzentrationen von 1012 Keimen/cm3
- Die Konzentration der Blasen steuert ebenfalls die Fähigkeit der plastischen Deformation bei hoher Deformationsgeschwindigkeit und zudem die Dichte der Werkstoffe. Vorteilhaft sind Konzentrationen von 1010 Keimen/cm3, besonders vorteilhaft Konzentrationen von 1011 Keimen/cm3 und ganz besonders vorteilhaft Konzentrationen von 1012 Keimen/cm3.
- Indem die Hohlräume und Partikel aus schichtförmigen Hydroxiden oder aus Calziumcarbonat netzwerkartig im Werkstoff verteilt werden und somit 0,5–2,0 μm große Bereiche ohne Hohlräume und ohne Hydroxide bzw. Calziumcarbonat umschlossen werden, kann die plastische Deformation schon bei verringerter Spannung ausgelöst werden. Da die in die Netzwerkstruktur eingelagerten Polymercluster frei von Gasblasen und Keimen bleiben, kann die Ausbildung von Agglomeraten sowie die Koagulation der Gasblasen trotz deren hohen Konzentration vermieden werden.
- Zur Ausbildung der mit Gasblasen und Keimen ausgerüsteten Netzwerkstrukturen muss die Plastifizierung derart ausgeführt werden, dass unaufgeschlossene Polymercluster erhalten bleiben. Dies kann erreicht werden durch eine bimodale Molmassenverteilung sowie durch eine Begrenzung der Plastifiziertemperatur.
- Die Erfindung betrifft auch transparente Formteile und Halbzeuge, die aus erfindungsgemäßen Werkstoffen hergestellt wurden. Als Beispiele für erfindungsgemäße Rezepturen werden folgende Rezepturen aufgeführt: Beispiel 1
SAN (MFI = 5 g/10 min): 33,2 SAN (MFI = 15 g/10 min): 66,3 Calziumcarbonat: 0,4% (30 nm Korndurchmesser) Blasenkonzentration: 1010 Keime/cm3 (Treibmittel: 0,1% Toluolsulfonsäurehydrazid) Plastifiziertemperatur: 180°C PMMA: 99,5 Calziumcarbonat: 0,5% (30 nm Korndurchmesser) Blasenkonzentration: 1010 Keime/cm3 (Treibmittel: 0,1% Kohlendioxid) Plastifiziertemperatur: 190°C
Claims (12)
- Transparenter thermoplastischer Werkstoff zur Herstellung transparenter Halbzeuge und Formteile, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass Hohlräume in Form von Gasblasen mit Durchmessern unter 100 nm und heterogen verteilte keimbildende Partikel aus schichtförmigen Hydroxiden oder aus Calziumcarbonat mit Durchmessern unter 100 nm vorhanden sind und netzwerkartig im Werkstoff verteilt sind und hierdurch 0,5–2,0 μm große Bereiche aus unaufgeschlossenen Polymerclustern ohne Hohlräume und ohne Hydroxide und ohne Calziumcarbonat umschließen.
- Transparenter thermoplastischer Werkstoff nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass Hohlräume mit Durchmesser unter 60 nm vorhanden sind.
- Transparenter thermoplastischer Werkstoff nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass Hohlräume mit Durchmesser unter 40 nm vorhanden sind.
- Transparenter thermoplastischer Werkstoff nach einem der vorhergehenden Ansprüchen, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass Partikel aus schichtförmigen Hydroxiden oder Calziumcarbonat mit Durchmesser unter 50 nm vorhanden sind.
- Transparenter thermoplastischer Werkstoff nach einem der vorhergehenden Ansprüchen 1 bis 3, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass der Brechungsindex der Partikel aus schichtförmigen Hydroxiden oder Calziumcarbonat eine Differenz von < 0,02 zum Brechungsindex des Matrixwerkstoffs aufweist.
- Transparenter thermoplastischer Werkstoff nach einem der vorhergehenden Ansprüchen, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Partikel aus schichtförmigen Hydroxiden oder Calziumcarbonat eine Konzentration von mindestens 1010 Teilchen/cm3 aufweisen.
- Transparenter thermoplastischer Werkstoff nach einem der vorhergehenden Ansprüchen 1 bis 5, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Partikel aus schichtförmigen Hydroxiden oder Calziumcarbonat eine Konzentration von mindestens 1011 Teilchen/cm3 aufweisen.
- Transparenter thermoplastischer Werkstoff nach einem der vorhergehenden Ansprüchen 1 bis 5, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Partikel aus schichtförmigen Hydroxiden oder Calziumcarbonat eine Konzentration von mindestens 1012 Teilchen/cm3 aufweisen.
- Transparenter thermoplastischer Werkstoff nach einem der vorhergehenden Ansprüchen, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Hohlräume eine Konzentration von mindestens 1010 Blasen/cm3 aufweisen.
- Transparenter thermoplastischer Werkstoff nach einem der vorhergehenden Ansprüchen 1 bis 8, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Hohlräume eine Konzentration von mindestens 1011 Blasen/cm3 aufweisen.
- Transparenter thermoplastischer Werkstoff nach einem der vorhergehenden Ansprüchen 1 bis 8, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Hohlräume eine Konzentration von mindestens 1012 Blasen/cm3 aufweisen.
- Transparente Halbzeuge und Formteile, die aus einem thermoplastischen Werkstoff nach einem der vorhergehenden Ansprüchen hergestellt ist.
