Die Baueinheit besitzt elektrische Kontakte zur Verbindung mit anderen Batteriemanagementsystemen und/oder mit Batterieanschlüssen. Wird Leistung aus dem entsprechenden Stack zu dem Batteriemanagement entnommen, so liegt die Spannung des Stacks mit seinen Batterieelementen an den Kontakten an. Ferner weist die Baueinheit eine Schalteinheit auf, über die die elektrischen Kontakte in einem Ruhezustand spannungslos geschaltet werden können. Im Ruhezustand sind die elektrischen Kontakte des Batteriemanagementsystems spannungslos, so dass sich dieses ohne Gefahr einbauen und handhaben lässt.
