Description

  • The invention relates to a connector according to the preamble of claim 1. Furthermore, the invention relates to a method for producing such a connector.
  • From the DE 195 13 590 A1 is the basic structure of a connector with a housing and recorded in the housing, designed as a flat plug contact elements known. From this prior art, it is known that locking elements take on the contact elements designed as a flat plug a primary locking of the contact elements in the housing.   • Although it is already known from the prior art to fix contact elements of a connector via a primary lock and additionally via a secondary lock in the housing of the connector, there is a need to improve the secondary locking of the contact elements in the housing of the connector.
  • On this basis, the present invention based on the object to provide a novel connector and a method for producing the same. This object is achieved by a connector according to claim 1. According to the invention, the housing is formed by a housing lower part and an upper housing part, wherein projections of the contact elements, which together with recesses in the lower housing part form the primary lock, are inserted into the recesses in the housing lower part, and furthermore press-fit pins of the housing lower part, which together with recesses of the contact elements and recesses of the upper housing part form the secondary locking, are introduced into the recesses of the contact elements and the recesses of the upper housing part. Such a connector can be easily assembled and manufactured by providing the primary lock and the secondary lock.
  • The contact elements are inserted perpendicular to the later insertion direction of the connector in the mating connector in the lower housing part, in which case the projections of the contact elements in the recesses in the lower housing part and the press-fit pins of the lower housing part are inserted into the recesses of the contact elements, wherein then the upper housing part perpendicular to the later insertion direction of Connector in the mating connector in the lower housing part and thus parallel to the insertion of the contact elements in the lower housing part on the lower housing part is placeable, in which case the Einpressstifte of the lower housing part are inserted into the recesses of the upper housing part.   • Preferably, at least one additional press-in pin of the lower housing part is inserted exclusively into a recess of the upper housing part, but does not penetrate any of the contact elements. Due to the additional press-fit pin, the connection between the upper part of the housing and the lower part of the housing can be improved.
  • Preferably, the press-fit pins of the lower housing part are caulked to the upper housing part. The caulking of the press-fit pins allows a particularly advantageous permanent connection of upper housing part and lower housing part.
  • The inventive method for producing such a connector is defined in claim 6. First, the housing of the lower housing part and the upper housing part and the contact elements are provided. Then, the contact elements are inserted perpendicular to the later insertion direction of the connector in the mating connector in the lower housing part such that in this case the projections of the contact elements are inserted into the recesses in the lower housing part and the press-fit pins of the lower housing part in the recesses of the contact elements. Subsequently, the upper housing part is placed parallel to the insertion direction of the contact elements in the lower housing part on the lower housing part such that in this case the press-fit pins of the housing lower part are inserted into the recesses of the upper housing part.

  1.
