Description
The present invention relates to a device for receiving a volume flow of a medium, a heat exchanger, a solar thermal power plant and a method for realizing a volume flow of a medium and a method for generating electrical energy.
Crystal-forming heat transfer media such as e.g. Salt melts, show a much higher temperature resistance than organic heat transfer media. When transporting such crystal-forming heat transfer media in pipelines, however, due to the high solidification temperature of these heat transfer media, particularly during cooling, formation of solid crystals may occur in the pipelines, which may cause a complete pipe closure. The reason for this is the formation of crystal nuclei in the event of temperature decrease, which increasingly settle on the inner walls of the pipe and ultimately form a coherent layer which greatly reduces the heat transfer. Ordinary smooth tubes in heat exchangers have no inhibiting effect on this phenomenon. Substantially irrespective of the roughness, deposition of the solid crystals may occur along the walls of the tubes.
Upon absorption of heat and the associated liquefaction of the crystal-forming medium, at first flows are formed only at the inner walls of the pipe, while a crystalline structure is still present in the center axis of the pipe. As a result, only a small volume of the medium is available for realizing the volume flow and for absorbing heat.

In order to prevent solidification of molten salts in the respective process runs, the tanks for the salt melts are positioned in such a way that a self-emptying (gravity return) of the melt is ensured. The liquefaction of the molten salt takes place in the salt tank by means of an immersion heater.
In order to prevent solidification of the molten salts in the lines, in such processes, all molten salt-carrying lines are equipped with a heater which is intended to prevent solidification of the liquid in the lines. In addition to the equipment expense, a relatively high energy requirement for the operation of the heaters.
The invention is based on the object, a device for receiving a volume flow of a medium which forms an ionic crystal structure in the solidified state, and to provide a method for realizing a volume flow of this medium with which in a simple, low-maintenance and cost-effective manner, the medium transported and / or a heat exchange between the medium and a surrounding medium can be realized.
This object is achieved by the device according to the invention for receiving a volume flow of a medium according to
The device according to the invention for receiving a volume flow of a medium which forms an ionic crystal structure in the solidified state comprises at least one wall surface bounding the volume flow at least on one side, wherein convex shaped elements are arranged on or in this wall surface. That is, the convex shape elements extend into the medium. This medium, which forms an ionic crystal structure in the solidified state, is, for example, a molten salt, an organometallic compound, a melt of organic compounds or a metal oxide melt. The volume flow of the melt is limited directly by the wall surface of the device according to the invention and thus also by the convex form elements arranged there.
Alternatively, it can be provided that the device according to the invention for receiving a volume flow forms a flow path, wherein one or more intermediate layers between the medium and the wall surface present, but are made thin, and also have the shape of the wall surface and its convex shape elements.
The convex shape elements are preferably arranged in a structure. They have several positive effects on the crystal-forming medium. First, they lead to a greater heat absorption, due to convection due to the increased surface area of the wall surface. On the other hand, they inhibit the settling behavior of solid crystals due to swirling or turbulence arising in the medium volume flow. This causes that despite crystallization of the cross-section of the device remains free longer. Another positive feature is an improved heat transfer, due to the turbulence in the medium, so that their individual, differently warm layers are swirled and there is therefore an excellent mixing in the medium, so that heat is optimally conducted between the particles of the medium and thus distributed can be. This also prevents partial cooling and particle deposition.
Furthermore, the convexities cause heat input relatively close to the central area of the device for receiving a volumetric flow and thus distribution of heat input over wide areas of the cross-section of the device, so that not only outer layers of the medium are heated, but also areas in the central area of the medium to be transported. This also counteracts a cooling-related solidification and crystallization of the medium in the region of the volume flow close to the center.
In a preferred embodiment it is provided that the device for receiving a volume flow is a tube, on the inner wall of which the convex shape elements are arranged. In this case, the present invention is not limited to the tube as a means for receiving a volume flow, but it can also be carried out by a groove, in the inner wall, the convex shape elements are arranged. The tube or the channel can be designed such that they have on their outer side corresponding concave mold elements, which form on the inside as said convex mold elements. When used in particular molten salts as a medium, such structural tubes have the advantage that turbulences and turbulences occur when heat is released in the region of the boundary layers between the medium and the tube material, thereby making it very difficult to settle the crystal nuclei on the tube inner wall and thus to prevent the formation of crystalline layers is slowed down. In addition, heat absorption of the medium due to the convex mold elements closer to the central axis of the tube, a corresponding heat transfer exists, so that an optionally present in the solidified state medium can be liquefied more uniformly and faster than is possible in smooth running tubes.
In a particular embodiment of the convex mold elements is provided that a respective convex mold element in its plane perpendicular to the plane of the surface of the wall surface and extending through its apex cutting plane has a cross-sectional area bounded by a substantially arcuate edge and an edge connected to the arcuate edge is substantially tangent, with the edge running as a tangent returning to the surface. That is to say that these convex shaped elements are designed in such a way that, in a section perpendicular to the surface and through its vertex or point furthest from the surface, and in the longitudinal extension, they have a cross-sectional area which extends through a substantially arcuate edge and bounded by a connected to the arcuate edge edge, which is designed substantially as a tangent, which runs as a tangent edge again merges into the surface. Preferably, the edge connected to the arcuate edge is a tangent to the arc of the arcuate edge. The transitions from the surface of the wall surface to the arcuate edge or the tangent edge may be rounded.
Such a convex mold element thus has the form of a half so-called NACA profile or even a half drop profile. That is to say that this convex shaped element as a whole is a convexly curved structure in which the edge designed as a tangent continues the arcuate edge. In this case, the convex mold element is arranged in the device for receiving a volumetric flow such that the edge executed as a tangent in the cross-sectional area is first overflowed by the medium or can be overflowed and then the arcuate edge is then overflowed or overflowed. This means that only the shallower region of the convex mold element is flowed over or around, so that strong turbulences arise on and behind the convex mold element, which prevent the deposits or the deposition of crystals.
In an alternative embodiment, it is provided that the convex mold element is executed substantially symmetrically curved, wherein it may have a circular or elliptical shape in cross section.
Adjacent arranged convex shape elements may be arranged in the longitudinal direction of the device for receiving a volume flow in each case in a linearly extending row, or each arranged laterally offset in a plurality of linearly extending rows. That is to say that the convex shaped elements, which in each case have the smallest distance from each other, can be arranged in series one after the other or else in a zigzag pattern.
Preferably, the device for receiving a volume flow on a clear width W of 10 mm to 200 mm. For a tube, the inside diameter is the inside diameter. For a gutter, the clear width is the maximum distance between the gutter legs. The inner diameter of the tube or the distance of the trough legs to each other can be in particular 10 mm to 80 mm.
In this case, the height H of a respective convex mold element, with respect to the surface on which the convex mold element is arranged, to the clear width W in the ratio of H ≤ 0.167 W stand. In this case, the height of the surface on which the convex mold element is arranged to measure perpendicular thereto to the apex of the convex mold element.
With regard to the preferable distance A between individual, adjacent convex shaped elements, it is preferably provided that this distance A to the clear width is in the ratio of A = 0.125W to 1.5W. In a favorable embodiment, it is provided that the distance A is the same as the clear width W.
The invention additionally provides a device for ammonia heating and urea decomposition, which comprises a device according to the invention for receiving a volume flow. Such a device can be used in particular in melamine production. In this case, the device according to the invention serves to receive a volume flow for transporting a crystallizing urea melt.
A device for producing aluminum is also provided, which likewise has the device according to the invention for receiving a volumetric flow, this serving to receive a volumetric flow of an aluminum melt.
Another aspect of the invention is a heat exchanger, comprising a plurality of inventive devices for receiving a volume flow for transporting a medium, which are arranged in a space which flows through or can be flowed through by a fluid which forms an ionic crystal structure in the solidified state.
The devices for receiving a volume flow are advantageously present here as beulstrukturierte pipes.
The space is formed by the heat exchanger or by its housing or jacket.
The fluid, which forms an ionic crystal structure in the solidified state, is also here preferably a molten salt heated by solar energy.
The medium which is transported with the means for receiving a volume flow, can be referred to as heating or cooling means and can e.g. Be water.
This means that in contrast to the realization of a volume flow by means of the device according to the invention for receiving a volume flow in the heat exchanger, the molten salt flows around the means for receiving a volume flow and does not flow through.
Due to the course of the devices for receiving a volume flow through the space flowed through the heat exchanger is a heat transfer from the medium in the means for receiving a volume flow to the fluid in the room through which the means for receiving a volume flow, or vice versa, wherein the fluid Space, the means for receiving a volume flow, which are preferably designed as tubes, flows around.
Moreover, the present invention relates to a solar thermal power plant, which has a device according to the invention for receiving a volume flow for transporting a medium heated by solar energy, which forms an ionic crystal structure in the solidified state, in particular for transporting a molten salt.
The device for receiving a volume flow can be arranged such that it is exposed or exposed to solar radiation.
The device according to the invention for receiving a volumetric flow can be, for example, a parabolic trough, in which a molten salt to be heated by means of solar energy is conducted. Alternatively, the device for receiving a volume flow may be a pipeline which extends in the parabolic trough, which is configured as a solar collector. In both embodiments, sunlight rays are directed to the medium in the channel, so that it is heated or maintained at a certain temperature, so that the melt produced thereby can be supplied to a heat exchanger.
The device for receiving a volumetric flow is therefore directly exposed to or exposed to solar radiation, in particular due to the arrangement in a focus region of focused solar rays.
Preferably, molten salts are used whose working temperature is between 200 ° C and 500 ° C. Such salt melts usually consist of a mixture of Alkalineitriten, which may have a melting point of about 140 ° C depending on the mixture. They are without pressure in a range of 180 ° C to 550 ° C liquid. Special salts or molten salts can be used up to 650 ° C. As a result, a heat transfer at higher temperatures than, for example, with thermal oils can be realized, wherein moreover the heated molten salt has a relatively low viscosity, a good heat transfer capacity and a high heat capacity. The medium contacting material of the device for receiving a volume flow must be carried out in accordance with corrosion resistant and also have sufficient ductility for introducing the convex mold elements.
To further increase the efficiency of the heat transfer and / or to enable catalytic reactions, the device for receiving a volume flow on its surface at least partially have a microstructure.
The microstructure may be arranged on the side on which the convex shape elements are formed, or also on the side on which the device for receiving a volumetric flow has concave form elements. The concave shaped elements e.g. on the outside of a designed as a pipe means for receiving a flow rate can form the convex shape elements on the pipe inside.
The microstructure can be applied to the mold elements and / or adjacent thereto.
The microstructure may consist of a plurality of protrusions whose maximum distance from the surface is less than 100 microns.
Preferably, the projections are in the form of a pin which extends with its longitudinal axis either perpendicular or at an angle between 30 ° and 90 ° to the surface.
The number of projections is designed per unit area depending on the thickness of the pin-shaped projections, wherein for a number of 10 2 / cm 2 to 10 8 / cm 2, the thickness is between 100 .mu.m and 0.2 .mu.m.
The length of the pin-shaped projections should be between 10 .mu.m and 195 .mu.m.
The clear width between the pin-shaped projections should be between 0.6 μm and 1000 μm.
Die Stiftform kann in Richtung Pilz-, Kegel- oder Nadelform variieren. The pen shape may vary in the direction of mushroom, cone or needle shape.
In an alternative embodiment, the microstructure consists of a porous layer, wherein the pores have a depth of less than 200 microns. Again, it is provided that the pores are formed substantially hollow cylindrical, with the hollow cylinder extending with its longitudinal axis either perpendicular or at an angle between 30 ° and 90 ° to the surface.
The number of pores per unit area is designed as a function of the clear width of the pores, wherein for a number of 10 2 / cm 2 to 10 8 / cm 2, the clear width is between 100 .mu.m and 0.2 .mu.m.
The length of the pores should be between 10 μm and 195 μm.
The distance between the pores should be between 0.6 μm and 1000 μm.
The porous layer is preferably made of a material from the group of zeolites.
In this embodiment, the microstructure serves as a so-called "black trap", ie as a device with which energy of the solar radiation can be efficiently absorbed and introduced into the device for receiving a volume flow as heat, from which the heat is transferred to the medium or molten salt is transferable, so that the viscosity of the medium or the molten salt and / or the crystallization tendency is kept low.
Another embodiment of the power plant according to the invention is that the power plant has a heat exchanger according to the invention. In this case, individual facilities for receiving a volume flow, which are exposed to solar radiation, lead into the heat exchanger and form there a part of the heat exchanger.
A further aspect of the invention is a method for realizing a volume flow of a medium which, in the solidified state, forms an ionic crystal structure in which a melt of the medium, in particular a molten salt, is passed through a device according to the invention for receiving a volume flow. This means that a transport of the medium is realized, by a device which has at least one wall surface bounding the volume flow at least on one side, wherein convex shaped elements which extend into the medium are arranged on or in this wall surface.
Preferably, the melt of the medium has a temperature of 150 ° C to 650 ° C, in particular a temperature of 180 ° C to 550 ° C.
In the embodiment of the device for receiving a volumetric flow in which a respective convex mold element in its plane perpendicular to the plane to the surface of the wall surface and extending through its apex cutting plane has a cross-sectional area through a substantially arcuate edge and an edge connected to the arcuate edge is limited, which is designed substantially as a tangent, which merges into the surface, it is provided that the melt flows against the respective convex mold element on the formed in cross-section as a tangent region. In other words, when a convex shaped element is arranged in a half drop shape, the melt flows into this convex shaped element from the narrow side. As a result, strong turbulence and accordingly good mixing of the melt and thus an efficient prevention of crystal deposits are achieved. In addition, this efficient heat conduction is achieved within the medium.
The inventive method for realizing a volume flow of a medium can be used in particular in a method for generating electrical energy, in which a medium heated by solar energy, which forms an ionic crystal structure in the solidified state, is transported in a device according to the invention for receiving a volume flow, the heated Medium is provided and the heat energy of the medium is at least partially converted into electrical energy.
As a result, the heated medium can be supplied, for example, to a heat exchanger in which the heat of the melt is at least partially transferred to a further medium, wherein the heat energy of this medium is converted into mechanical energy and this in turn into electrical energy.
In the embodiment, in which solar energy is converted into electrical energy, it is provided that the device for receiving a volume flow during transport of the medium is exposed to solar radiation.
In the embodiment, in which a heat exchanger is used for the transmission of heat energy, it is provided that in a heat exchanger according to the invention at least partially heat from a fluid which flows through the space of the heat exchanger, is transferred to the medium in the means for receiving a volume flow, the heated medium is provided and the heat energy of the medium is at least partially converted into electrical energy.
