Führt eine zu kontrollierende Person unerlaubte Gegenstände mit sich, werden diese aufgrund des Ventilators mit einer höheren Wahrscheinlichkeit erkannt. Das Personenkontrollsystem umfasst eine Aufnahme-Wiege-Plattform, an der der Gewichtssensor angeordnet ist. Die Aufnahme-Wiege-Plattform erfüllt zwei Aufgaben. Zum einen lässt sich das Gewicht der zu kontrollierenden Person erfassen und mit früheren Einträgen vergleichen, um, wenn größere Gewichtsunterschiede vorliegen, Alarm auszulösen. Darüber hinaus dient die Aufnahme-Wiege-Plattform dazu, dass Wärmebildaufnahmen von der zu kontrollierenden Person erstellt werden, wenn die zu kontrollierende Person auf der Aufnahme-Wiege-Plattform steht. Über den Gewichtssensor sind der Ventilator und die Infrarotkamera derart steuerbar, dass genau dann Infrarotaufnahmen erstellbar sind, wenn die zu überprüfende Person auf der Aufnahme-Wiege-Plattform steht.
