Ferner verfügen solche Druckbegrenzungsventile über einen Ventilkörper und ein Federelement, wobei eine von dem Federelement bereitgestellte Federkraft den Ventilkörper zum Schließen des Druckbegrenzungsventils gegen den Ventilsitz desselben drückt. Der Ventilkörper ist entgegen der vom Federelement bereitgestellten Federkraft dann vom Ventilsitz zum Öffnen des Druckbegrenzungsventils und zum Ableiten von Überdruck abgehoben, wenn eine auf den Ventilkörper einwirkende Kraft, die von einem im Ventil-Einlass herrschenden Druck abhängig ist und der Federkraft des Federelements entgegenwirkt, größer als die vom Federelement bereitgestellte Federkraft ist.Safety valves designed as pressure limiting valves, by means of which devices, such as, for example, water heating boilers, can be protected against overpressure, are well known in practice.
