Die vorliegende Erfindung beruht auf dem allgemeinen Gedanken, eine Mittelkonsole eines Kraftfahrzeuges aus einem als Magnesiumdruckgussteil ausgebildeten Grundträger und zumindest einem daran angebauten Halteelement auszubilden, wobei das zumindest eine Halteelement eine als Magnesiumdruckgussteil ausgebildete Tragstruktur aufweist und an zumindest einem Bereich von Innen mit dem Grundträger verschraubt ist, so dass von außen keine die Ästhetik beeinflussenden Schraubstellen sichtbar sind. Durch die Ausbildung sowohl des Grundträgers als auch der Tragstruktur des Halteelementes als Magnesiumdruckgussteil können das Halteelement und auch die Verbindung zum Grundträger hohe Kräfte abtragen, beispielsweise Haltekräfte von bis zu 1.000 N. Darüber hinaus ist durch die an zumindest einem Bereich angeordnete Verschraubung von innen eine umschließende Abdeckung gegeben, so dass der sichtbare Verbindungsbereich des Halteelementes mit dem Grundträger wie aus einem Guss wirkt.
