The assembly of the filter insert takes place in such a way that the sealing compound is brought into contact with the end face of the filter medium and the support grid and penetrates into this or surrounds sealingly. Both materials have the advantage that they have a residual elasticity after curing, which allows a sufficient sealing effect even at high operating temperatures over a long period of time. Furthermore, a simple assembly or disassembly is made possible by the elasticity. The difference of the materials during assembly is that the PUR is introduced in liquid form into a casting bowl into which support grids and filter medium are immersed. The PUR foams at a suitable formulation and penetrates into the interstices of the filter medium and supporting grid and surrounds them sealingly. After curing, the PUR has a residual elasticity. In contrast, the nitrile rubber material in film form is brought into contact with the filter medium and the support grid and heated.
