Jeder Motor treibt wenigstens ein Rad des Elektroradfahrzeugs an, jedoch jeder Motor jeweils nur Räder auf bezüglich einer in der Längsrichtung verlaufenden Mittellinie des Elektroradfahrzeugs ersten oder zweiten Seite des Elektroradfahrzeugs. Bevorzugt sind die Motoren rohrförmig ausgeführt, so dass das Verhältnis der Motorabmessung in der Längsrichtung des Elektroradfahrzeugs und zugleich der Richtung der Rotorwelle des jeweiligen Motors zur Motorabmessung in einer lateralen Richtung deutlich größer als Eins ist. Es ist dadurch im Elektroradfahrzeug ein freier Bereich ausgebildet, welcher in bevorzugten Ausführungsformen der Erfindung zur Aufnahme eines Energiespeichermittels vorgesehen ist. In diesem Falle ist das Energiespeichermittel durch die vorteilhafte rohrförmige Ausbildung der Motoren leicht zugänglich und einfach austauschbar, etwa zum Zwecke der Wartung. In einer Ausführungsform der Erfindung sind die Motoren so von der in der Längsrichtung verlaufenden Mittellinie des Elektroradfahrzeugs in der lateralen Richtung beabstandet, dass der freie Bereich zwischen den Motoren ausgebildet ist; hierbei treibt jeder Motor nur Räder auf entweder der ersten oder der zweiten Seite des Elektroradfahrzeugs, auf der er sich jeweils befindet, an. Dadurch wird im Bereich um die Mittellinie zwischen den Motoren kein Getriebe benötigt, in diesem Bereich steht somit Platz für andere Verwendungen zur Verfügung. Die Ausführung der Motoren mit einem im Vergleich zu ihrer Abmessung in der Längsrichtung geringen Durchmesser ermöglicht es, die Motoren im Bereich des Fahrwerks des Elektroradfahrzeugs anzuordnen, so dass eine Luftkühlung der Motoren zusätzlich zu einer vorgesehenen Wasserkühlung erfolgt.The drive system according to the invention for an electric motor vehicle comprises at least two motors, which are oriented with their respective rotor shafts in a longitudinal direction of the electric cycle vehicle. Das Antriebssystem nach der Erfindung kann aber auch als Allradantrieb eines Elektroradfahrzeugs ausgeführt sein. Vorteilhaft ist dann jedem Motor eine Differenzialgetriebeeinheit zugeordnet und jeder Motor ist zum Antrieb zweier Räder vorgesehen. In Weiterbildung dieser Ausführungsform ist jedem Motor ein Zusatzmotor beigeordnet, durch welchen die Verteilung des Drehmoments auf die von dem jeweiligen Motor angetriebenen Räder steuerbar ist.
