Abstract

The device has a pressure sensor (32), which detects the fuel pressure in a pressure accumulation chamber (12). A fuel pressure receiving mechanism collects the detection result of the sensor. A control mechanism operates a fuel pump (6) for regulating the detected fuel pressure to a desired fuel pressure. An air mixture determination unit determines the mixing of air with the fuel, based on a condition, in which the detected fuel pressure is lower than the desired fuel pressure.
