User and signal data are transmitted over a network element (10). The network element has functions for authenticating a client application in relation to an international mobile subscriber (IMS) network, and to authenticate a user of the client application. The network element transmits real time protocol (RTP) media from a push to talk over cellular (PoC) server (11) to an end terminal.
