Abstract
Vehicle (1) has a front hood (2) with left bonnet lock (7) right bonnet lock (6) in direction of travel (3) on sides of vehicle. The front hood is pivoted to the vehicle by a hinge mechanism (4) and can be tilted back in the direction of vehicle. The hinge mechanism and the bonnet locks are so equipped, that the front hood is led across from its normal position into an impact position, in which the front hood is lifted behind against the normal position. A first switch (13) is attached to one bonnet lock whereas the first switch is designed as closer and sends an OFF signal in closed condition of front hood and in opened condition of front hood it sends an ON signal to a control device (12). At the other bonnet lock a second switch is attached, which is designed as opener and sends an OFF signal in opened condition of front hood and in closed condition an ON signal to the control device. The control device recognizes that the front hood is not closed properly, when both the switches send the identical signal.
