Abstract

Method involves determination of the heart beats of the person in continuity or in periodical time intervals by electrodes, which are arranged on the body of the person. The heart beats are passed to a computer and the heart rate is computed through the computer from several heart beats and from the associating time unit. The heart rate is compared with a predetermined reference value or a reference value range by the computer. The person is informed through an acoustic signal with words about a compliance of the determined heart rate with the reference value or the reference value range or the shortfall or exceeding of the reference value or reference value range. An independent claim is also included for the device for monitoring the heart rate of a person.
