Anhand der beschriebenen Registriereinheit ist es möglich, die austretenden Wasserstrahlen an einem Düsenbalken zu überwachen. Durch das Erfassen der Betriebsparameter des Düsenstreifens ist es auch möglich zu gewährleisten, dass der eingesetzte Düsenstreifen während des Produktionsprozesses innerhalb seiner Fertigungsparameter liegt und somit für die Produktion geeignet ist, da bei einem Düsenstreifen, der außerhalb seiner Fertigungsparameter liegt, stets ein erhöhtes Maß an Ausschuss bei der hydrodynamischen Strahlbeaufschlagung erreicht wird.
