Zur Erzeugung von Beutelquernähten sind Quersiegelwerkzeuge 9 vorgesehen, die sowohl Kopf- als auch Bodennähte 10 verschweißen, und die erzeugten, durch das Formatrohr 6 gefüllten Beutel 11 mittels eines Messers 12 vom Folienschlauch 3 abtrennen.
