Abstract

A transmitted data block (DB) may be received by two separate antennas producing data block signals (DB1, DB2) which may contain errors. Each antenna is associated with a respective base station (BTS1, BTS2) which can process the received data strings. The base stations are connected to a single control module (KE) which can combine two processed strings of signals. In the case of a errors in the data blocks a probability is determined by use of a FEC algorithm that each symbol of the data block corresponds to a certain logical value and is transmitted to the control module.
